I don't know. Maybe, I thought everyone else could. But when I go there and click on "discussion forum" it doesn't do anything. Maybe it's 'cause I had my username set to login everytime I opened the site??

It will take you directly to the forum to read. Don't type the proxy server address on this forum though - they will get it and ban it. You didn't think I had sent them the WHOLE list to block - did you????...lol I'm not that dumb! Something just told me that they were up to no good......I even told Pearl that......so I didn't send them all the proxy IP's.

If it doesn't work....you may need to give it time to log you out of their system.....but that shouldn't have an affect on it.

Wow, listen to you guys.
The sad thing was, I was so entralled by TP when I 1st saw it. I am new to the computer. I was seeking a way to advertise extemely high quality (show quality w/ entirely genetically certified linages) puppies. I have about 1 litter a year, depending on what I want to keep...
I like to get a huge volume of calls, so that I can pick and choose thru 20 people to find one I like per puppy. Newspapers were not giving me any results. I kept pups until they were about 6 mos. old, before I found the correct homes for them. Not fair for the people, that are out there somewhere(they really would like a younger dog), and the pups, which would do better away from the littermates. TP was the 1st thing I found when I googled.
I was mystified by the idea of a discussion forum. I had never seen one. Even though most people had a different kind of dog than me (I think most of the TP people had pitbulls) I was very addicted to the site. It seemed as though the "trolls" and 13 year old posters began running the scene. The entire site crumbled within 6 mos. All of a sudden, conversations that were cute and funny became off topic, and people were banned for making jokes or talking about their car accident or wedding. It was a very inconsistant banning. Some people could post anything, esp. the moderaters(who I think should be less than visible as such, unless they want to be ordinary posters, like the rest of us). I was banned for pointing out that a moderater was speaking on something that had been declared "off-topic" I was not warned or anything, just could never activate the site from that point on. Makes you be careful where you spend your advertizing money...

And as you are all probably well aware of, it is going to get worse before it gets better. Especially in March when the search engine starts working. This forum will be their competition and we have already found out the hard way that they are very vindictive, so watch out!

Kitty, I felt the same way you did. I saw it and was like WOW - this forum really moves. We all like an active forum...where we can come back in an hour and see our questions answered. That was what I saw in TP. In the beginning, I got a lot of static because of my views.....which i expected.....I didn't have any trouble out of Min that much and the 'others' were just like me - a regular member...so they couldn't do anything.

Once the IP Queens were made moderators I knew I either had to shut up or walk away. I wasn't going to shut up for them because my views (although different) have the right to be expressed on a public forum just as anyone else's does. I knew I would get banned...but I wasn't going to change for them.

Honestly, I think they are just pi$$ed because instead of 'joining' another forum where we couldn't post links, say what we wanted, etc, we just built our own.......and made our own rules. Even though I own this site, I try as much as I can to include the members in the decisions.......even letting them vote on the name. This forum has less than 30 members...but most of them are active members......and that keeps it moving. The numbers are only sure to grow at this point and that is killing 'them'. They can't control us anymore.......and they can't let go. They really should put all that energy into improving the functioning of their own site instead of continually running their members away. They don't even have to ban them anymore.....their members are leaving voluntarily now.

Whether the members end up here or move on to another forum is their decision, but if they do join The Furum - they will feel welcomed. We have a small, but great group here. And they have done so well at making new members feel welcomed. Don't think that I haven't noticed that EVERY time a new member joins The Furum....someone posts a WELCOME thread to say HI. That is cool....and the way it should be. Even the mods, at TP, don't do that for their new members.......instead they accuse them of being a troll. Why would any one want to come back to that? Ya know?

Kitty....I just wanted to say that I am so gald you started posting here.......I really enjoy what you have to say........and hope to see more of your comments here at The Furum.

I have never visited this site that you all are talking about, but i can say that it's reputation is bleeding down on other forums because i have heard of it before and just how rude it is. All I can say is that I am so glad I was never a member, because then I would know what you all are talking about here. Just from reading what I have, I wouldn't want to associate with this place. I'm sure it's probably a great site in its own way, but when I have questions I'm looking for answers, not drama.

even being involved with that site. I was at first thinking it was good, because I was obviously the only person advertising that did not have a puppy mill, my dogs' photos were pretty outstanding. Now I think I was doing them too much of a favor with putting my ad there. I think I should keep better company. 90% of the response I got were scammers. I did get one really nice person that bought one of the 2 pups that I was selling. The other people were just scary

Ok I'm bursting at the seams here. I have to comment.

Jawlaw, when you posted this thread with the link to that thread at TP, there was 39 posts on thst thread. They deleted a few of them (the ones they wrote themselves) and left it up overnight. Now they have deleted the post count down to like 20. That means they deleted at least 19 posts..lol and then they have finally deleted the entire thread.

I guess they took the night to go back and read their owners manuals of "How to delete a thread" because it took them over 20 tries to get it right. I always heard that when employing labor you get what you pay for. I guess thats why they are 'free labor'.

To you TP mods who I know are reading this...stop with the childishness already. If you see a suspicious post, delete it and move on. By commenting about them you are only making things on your own forum worse. The situation wont die until you let it.

That is too funny...don't they know that the way they react to these things only makes them look worse? If they would laugh at themselves sometimes and lighten up, it would make things better. lol But since they don't laugh at themselves, I laugh for them...lol
