Hi Jawlaw!  I'm good, just been working, so I haven't been able to hang out on the computer.  I'm covering a maternity leave for a third grade teacher and come home completely wiped out! How are you doing?

I was just reading through all of the new posts...good to see that things haven't changed much!  Wouldn't want all of the drama to stop and make our lives boring!

How did Jazzy do with her spay?  I have Kula's neuter appointment for March 7th...my poor baby!

Jazzy has done wonderful! Way better than any of my "boys". But even with the "boys" it wasn't bad, they just whined a bit! You are a 3rd grade teacher? I might have known that but I forgot! Now that has got to be the toughest job ever!!!

Actually I substitute teach for K-5 and also work on call as a Speech Pathologist at a rehab hospital. Some days can definitely be tough...today was one of those!  But it's also a lot of fun.  I can't really complain.

I'm glad you enjoy it. I know it is one of the most under-appreciated jobs.... substituting is even harder..going in to a different classroom everyday...different teacher, different subject, different kids... I did it for a while and I have never been so exhausted as after a day of subbing... kids looove to harass subs...lol.... I use to do it, too!

That's exactly the reason that I love to pick up long term assignments, like maternity leaves.  It's great to know where you're going every day and to work with one group of students and teachers for an extended period of time.  I also stay at my son's school as much as possible....I know all the kids AND their parents, so they tend not to try to pull as much over on me!  I do have a couple in this class that are making me old though....  :)
