is she sick?

Hi everyone! I just have a couple questions. My new kitty has been sneezing, poor thing. Her eyes look clear and her nose looks fine, could it be the new enviroment/smells? Also she has been sleeping a lot, I know cats sleep alot but she kind of worries me. She slept during the whole day yesterday but also slept with me throughout the whole night ans she is sleeping right now on my lap. Could she maybe have a little cold? Or maybe she just sleeps a lot? Other then that she is doing so well. Loves people, and talks to me when I pet her.

Thanks guys!

It is quite possible that it's just her system getting used to her new environment but kittens are very susceptible to upper respiratory infections but that is usually accompanied by a running nose and/or eyes.

Kittens and adult cats, for that matter, do tend to sleep alot.

As with any new furpal that any of us get it is always a good idea to take them to the vet for a check up even when they come from a great breeder.

She sounds like a definite sweetie & I'm sure she'll bring you years of smiles & cuddles!

Thanks. The vet at the pound said she is about a year, give or take. I think younger cause she is so small. I get a free Vet visit that came with the adoption, i had already made her an appt.for thursday but im gonna call tomorow and see if i can come in then instead. :)

My cat sleeps 27 hours a day.  Maybe she's just feeling all good and comfy.  Every now and then I have to wake her up just to watch her yawn.  It's so funny......she is so tired from doing nothing...lol
