I know most of y'all are so aware of this, but I have never had 2 dogs at one time before. It is so hillarious how they act like kids. They can have 50 toys on the floor and they want the same one. If one picks up a toy, then the other one starts after it. It is so funny! People who do not have dogs, do not know what they are missing! I have heard some say that dogs do not know jealousy. I am not sure I believe that after seeing them fight for my attention!
I know what you mean. I have Moco and my sisters dog Ruby. I recently bought these liver treats for Moco and I tried giving one to Ruby (alone) and she just sniffed it and left. But when I tried to give Moco some, she bullied her way over to me to get one! Theyre always stealing each others food. The funniest part though, is when Ruby goes on Mocos bed to steal his nylabone. It's like he's psychic. He'll come flying in with his teeth out and growling! And he NEVER does that. He's such a sweet dog, but dont mess with his nylabone!
I go through the same thing here! When I buy toys I buy 2 of the exact same thing, let Farley pick his first & Chloe gets the other. Within 10-15 minutes one toy is forgotten about while they keep stealing the other back & forth. The only time they will play with both of them is if I get a game of fetch going. And then it gets to be a total riot! Each starts out with their own but eventually Chloe will end up with Farley's. Then Farley refuses to retrieve the other one that Chloe dropped. He will bide his time until he is able to steal it back. When he does that Chloe is fine & will go back to retrieving the one she started out with. Farley refuses to "settle" for the one he doesn't want.
On the rare occasion when I get 2 large rawhide bones we go thru almost the same thing. Each will lay down with one & chew on it for about 10 minutes. Then Farley will steal Chloe's. They will both work on that one until it is completely gone, even if it takes 2 weeks and never touch the 2nd one again until the 1st one is gone.
