Well I for one am not here because I was banned from TP , nor am I here because I'm a 'follower' of Ansy. I still post occasionally at TP, though not as much as I used to. I seem to be a victim of the alleged 'glitch' so my posts lately haven't stayed on the board long....lol. I really could care less one way or the other...I don't lose sleep over it, or any forum for that matter. I'm a member and mod of several forums...I like the variety. This forum and TP are just two of many stops I make when I'm surfing. I read, post and learn what I can from each of them. There are people I enjoy chatting with and some I choose to stay away from....like Katz pointed out,forum 'friendships' are limited...you really can't base a relationship on a few words posted on a message board. I really don't understand why people think that it is 'disloyal' to belong to more than one forum...its the internet for cripes sake...not an exclusive club. I really do hope that things calm down over at TP though...its not half as busy or fun as it used to be...members keep leaving or getting booted (whatever the case may be) and the quality of the posts seems to be sadly deteriorating since the new year. I hope admin can breathe some new life into it before it fades out completely.

shadowdog.....just wanted to say thank you again for my avatar...I love it :) but I can't say that I particularily appreciate your sig....are you painting me with the troll brush as well just because I post here? I wouldn't have pegged you as being that biased :(

We don't require any sort of loyalty oath to become a valued member here. I belong to a number of forums, as do many of the other posters here, and I still hang out on TP from time to time.

ShadowDog--If you'd like to remain a member here, we'd be happy to have you. And we won't pressure you to hate or to leave TP (or any other forum).

As far as I can tell, I was banned at TP because I don't like the taste of the mods boodies, which I never courted. My bad. Don't miss the site at all. When I go back to look in at it, I can't understand what I was doing there in the 1st place. I guess the good came out of it that I came away with lots of new pen pals that none of them stayed. It seems an intellectual and creativity suppressing hole for anyone to put themselves in. That, and I avoid control freaks like scout, lalayla, and cricket. It was fun there until they became mods, but then we joked and talked about anything, not the stogjy, follow the lines crap they spit out there now. I found other much nicer, more fun and creative boards, and can't thank them enough for the push that banning gave me.

o.k. so shadowdog is the "shadow" on tp afterall? she told me she wasn't. I guess she was waiting for the right opportunity to get "mad". It is a shame that she cannot be a member on both forums and be happy. That is the way it is suppose to be. And since we are all stating our opinion. Scout and CM were biased and rude.

LOL!!! This is so funny. Sorry for those who think any different. I get so confused over all this. I like to look at a few forums and nobody gets on to me about it. The only thing at TP that bugged me was you could only talk pets, which became boring, and some people getting away with everything. And last but not least the 13 year olds being able to talk any way they want and the mods protecting them because of their age. Who cares how old some people are?!? If you feel like you can act and talk a certain way then you should be able to handle what people say to you. I think I am rambling on now, so I will shut up.

Well, I suppose I'll throw in my two cents: I loved TP when I first started on there in Nov. of last year. It was great for a couple months but then everything got really boring when they decided not to have any more off-topic threads. Then it got REALLY boring when all the new ppl came on and asked the same questions over and over again "looking for puggle, yorkie-poo, cockapoo," etc. I realize that they all have a right to ask whatever they want to as long as it's pet-related, which is fine with me, just really boring. But then everything got all rude over there when ppl had to talk to these ppl asking the q's about designer breeds and they got all nasty about it and saying "oh, not another one of these. just go to a shelter and adopt one from there, don't spend your money the way you want to because i don't agree with it" and being all rude to all the new members like that and calling them trolls just 'cause they didn't know any better than to ask the "forbidden questions" such as designer breed topics and i want to breed my dog to this dog, and what have you. That's when I left and came over here to vent about it (where else am I going to vent about it to ppl I already know?) and then they had some spies over here saying how immature I was for talking about the bs that goes on there. Then I said I don't care if I get banned and I got banned the very next day. Still haven't gotten my email or notification that I was banned though, all you mods!!!!

I would also like to add that I never ever had a problem with anyone in particular over there. I do miss talking to bessielou about our love for broken-down, old dogs, amongst other things. The only thing I had a problem with was how rudely every new person asking about a designer breed was treated. Yes, going to the shelter would be my 1st choice, but maybe someone would rather get one from a breeder and meet the parents of the pup and meet the ppl breeding the dogs, what have you, what have you. So don't run it into the ground about shelter dogs. We all know they need homes and God knows I'd save every darn one of them if I had like $10,000,000,000,000 or so. But you can't treat new members like they should automatically know that everyone over there is against breeding mutts. That just turns ppl away and you never know if they're going to have some really good info or be really good friends to talk to if you don't give them a chance and turn them away right away. I guess I've given like $10 in pennies here so I'll shut up now.

I think that the Admin there crumbled the neat hill that he had built, I was so willing to advertise, and I am a gold mine as far as people that make money in my tracks, because of who follow in my humble tracks... So sad that site. So good you are not lost and we are connected...

Wasn't going to, but i decided to reply. I don't, and never have, had a problem with anyone on TP or this site. I still post on TP regularly. I have learned a lot from there. I actually came across this site through TP from someone posting it in a random thread. I came here curious thinking it might be another TP bashing site....but i was pleasantly surprised with a great, informative, friendly, well made site. I also visit nextdaypets, furkidforum, and bulldogworld. I think it is fun to know a variety of people. Shadow, I do hope you choose to stay and keep posting here, but if you do not, I know i can count on seeing you on TP. I always love reading your posts.
