Did you ever go to the shelter again and talk to someone else about Elvis?? I didn't see where you did after Katz said that you should and check your fence for holes. I was just wondering if you ever went back or not??
No, we didn't go to the shelter in person again. I felt it would cause a confrontation because the man obviously does not want to adopt to us. We had been there twice before with our kids and he saw how great things went.
We are beginning complete home remodeling next week, which includes a new chain link fence. The one we have is fine, but we are adding a deck to our bedroom which means the fence in the backyard will have to be torn down to make room. Since we are going to have to replace that one side of the fence anyway, we just decided to replace the entire back yard so that one side of the fence doesn't look 'new' and the rest doesn't.
I even told him about this in my emails and offered to adopt the dog and pay for all care and costs for him to stay at the shelter until the fencing was completed. Still, we never heard from him.
