On Moday night I decided that I wanted to go get my tattoo worked on and when I tried to call my artist he had moved to Flordia. I was in total shock. I have been using him for 5 years now and he just up and leaves without calling me. He was about halfway finished on my arm and now I don't know what to do or who to go to. My artist used to only charge me 20 dollars a visit and he would usually work on me for about 3 hours. I found one guy that I really like his work but he is going to charge me about 500 to finish my arm. And to think it would have just cost me probably 40- or two more visits. So tonight I plan on going to another guy that did my tattoo guys tattoos and see if he will cut me a deal to finish it. My arm bugs me now when I look at it because it is not finished. And to think it already goes from the top of my shoulder to my elbow. All that needs done to it is finish the underside and the armpit area. Sorry, I needed to ramble on to someone and my hubby is tired of hearing me complain about it.
Before I'd pay someone $500 to finish it, I'd take a mini-vacation to Florida and find my original artist!
Hopefully something will work out. Tattoo's are pretty expensive. My husband as a few. One is just a basic tribal design.....all one color.....and about 3 inches X 5 inches........and it cost $100. Your original tattoo guy was giving you a heck of a deal.......and it's going to be hard to find someone who even comes close to that.
He really should have notified his clients before moving though. Thats just good business.
He has done all my tats. On my back I have a trible looking thing between my should blades thats about 3 by 5 and that cost me 20, on my right shoulder blade I have my daughters initals and that cost 15, on my right ankle I have a butterfly thats about 2 by 3 that cost 20, on my inner wrist on both I have some tribel looking things that cost 15 each, and of course my arm which is bio-mechanical so far it has cost 100(I have been four times and sometimes I tip him more). So I have about 700 dollars worth of tattoos that only cost me 165.
There is no way I can even go to Flordia. I live in N. TX and that would be a 18/20 hour drive for me. I know he made a lot of people mad but I think he was having some personal issues. Oh well, I just hope I can find domeone that will mess with another artists work.
I paid 35.00 for my wolf head on my shoulder, 30.00 for the deer prints on my ankle (i designed them), 130.00 for my frog on a limb with leaves, and 75.00 for the huge butterfly on my lower back. The guy was giving you an outragous deal. We went thru almost the same thing where our favorite artist moved away without notice but ours were all finished. That sucks that yours isn't. The good thing about our situation is that we found a new one that charges about the same and does much better work. We thought our old one was good enough but not compared to the new guy. Tats are very expensive anymore. Makes me want to learn how to do it.
many of the airlines have speical prices if you buy online, a week or more inadvacane, you could probally go for arround 100, cheaper that they gas to drive
I dont know what I'd do if my tattoo guy moved in the middle of a job. I'd be pretty mad though thats for sure. I didnt pay much for my tattoo's either but I'm friends with the guy who did them so yeah, I got a bit of a deal as well.

I have one on my ankel I did myself and two others one on my thigh and one on my left breast. I paid 60.00 for the two of them that I did not do. I want another one burt not sure what I want. I want something I can put my kids names in but I have five kids. (I consider my step son my son lol can't leave him out.) Any Ideas?

Pits, maybe you could create a design that has the initials of their first names in it. I wanted to do that with my sons and hubby names....then I realized they all started with a "J"...lol (John, John II, and James).
My husband said I should get a tattoo that says "J to the 3rd power"...lol
