Has anyone ever used the double leash thing. It was such a beautiful day today, I thought I'd take both dogs for a walk and they practically tied me to a tree, lol.
They sell a yoke that clips to 2 dogs' collars and has a ring to attach the leash to, at the pet store. Don't feel bad, I tried to take 3 out once, and opened the back gate on top of three stairs... they rushed out, and I was airbourne. Don't try this at home.
I always walk my two at the same time. I used to just tie the two leashes together, since we didn't have the double ring thingy to go on them. It worked out just fine, but then again, my two are 20lbs and 30lbs, so it's not like they can drag me far, lol. I did, however, used to walk them with Eli, our doberman, all at the same time. I tied him to my belt loop and had Mollie and Chopper in my right hand, so it wasn't like I was steering w/both hands or anything, lol. That's just what I do and it always has seemed to work out nicely.
When we are going for a walk somewhere and I know Farley & Chloe will be real excited upon arrival I use a coupler which hooks to both collars and then the leash to the coupler. This works great if they aren't really listening to me and prevents me from getting wrapped up in 2 leashes. Once they have calmed down I will then remove the coupler & use their 2 leashes.
