RE: Don't know how I'll be received here?

Ltlgto, I have to say that I am honored to have you become a member of this forum.  If I could have had any ONE member join here, it would have been you.  There have been so many times that I wished I would have had a way of getting in touch with you and invite you here, however, at the same time I would have probably been hesitant because I would have figured someone as educated and serious about dogs as you are would have written me off the books a long time ago due to my own behavior and how I handled things in the beginning.  I haven't been the best of an example at times.

I am so happy that you are here and it just made my day to log on and see you had registered.  You are truly an asset to any forum and having quality members like yourself here is just what we need.

I honestly want to thank you for joining.  You really just don't know how many times I have thought about you.  I know I never 'knew' you that well on TP, but I read every post I could of yours because I learned something from every one of them.  You are the epitomy of what a dog owner should be and I admire you for that.

Thank you again for gracing The Furum with your presence, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart.  I really am impressed and amazed that you joined.   Thanks for making my day!

Welcome, Welcome! I think we had a few issues at times but nothing major. Besides I don't mind getting into confrontations with someone who can argue some very good points. You taught me alot. I hope that I can learn some more from you!

I agree with Ansy. When I was w/o notice, w/o explanation, from the forum that we shared, that was my first comment to some friends w/ a lovely little black poodle, was that I would miss the poodle person. I like to hear what knowledgeable people have to say and while we do learn from each other, I admit to a great deal of answering newbie posts. Better to be with my betters, for the sake of my own advancement

Oh GTO whats the matter for you. LOL You are one of the people that makes a forum worth going too. Don't you know that. You are one of the main names I look for when a post is written. Me loving poodles and all. LOL  I am just steering clear of anything argumentive over there. Its likely to be a weekly thing. Never ever on any forum that I've gone to has it been like that. I scan thru what may interst me, or threads that may have been overlooked and try to help.

Its great to have you here. Heres my gal Lilly. This past Sunday. Clipped her myself. Did not touch the legs much, as I am a horrible scizzerer. LOL

Kitty- lol " when I was unfairly banned without explanation....no bitterness there.... I like to say that any chance I get too!!

ltlgto-I never get tired of looking at your babies. My Hershey looks a little like your black toy poodles... Curious- why do you and Denise prefer the standard...what difference do you see in them?

proto- did you see the name calling that ltlgto did in her post (about her dogs)....lol...just joking!

Jawlaw, you are so right. I admit when I am wrong. When I am treated unfairly, unequally, I am about as poisonous as they come. I have worked as the only American in an Arabic bar and nightclub/restuarant for 25 years. I am real good at detecting unfairness, regardless of the language it is presented in. I have thicker skin than most, and am considered cold, when I regard it as practical or discerning. I spent my youth, and any money I had, on foolishness, sentiment, and good times. I take the nonsensical look at life that my Norweigan ancestors had now, and wished I had done it when I was 20.

Oh, and Puttin', your baby is lovely.
My sis in law is a professional groomer, with Standards at home.

Oh, Oasis!! Looks like you're not the last one to welcome him, after all!! LOL

WELCOME, LTLGTO!!! Remember me?? I love GTOs and dragons too, lol. I have thought about you as well and wished there was some way to contact you to get your yellow GTO and poodles over here, pronto!! And yourself and your awesome info too, of course, lol. I cannot tell you how glad I am that you joined. I woke up, came to the computer, looked at some other threads, and OMG!! There you were!! Anywho, I have missed your awesome posts, even though I don't think we really knew each other or talked much, just that we both like dragons and GTOs, lol.
WELCOME AGAIN!!

Here Kitty kitty kitty, LOL You tell your SIL to come on over here. If she has the time. LOL Grooming is a tiring job. Lord if I had standards, my back would be broke by now. Gto do you do all your own grooming. It was sad for me to clip Lilly this past week. I clipped away her puppy coat. She looks great to me. But it was I guess like passing a milestone.

Thank you all for your warm welcome! Ansy, you're making me blush. For those here that don't know, I am a "Guy". If I don't remember a specific conversation, the "Guy" thing is my excuse (selective memory). Actually, I always have a lot of things going on in my head between work and home, and my memory really sucks! Age could be a factor also. 44 going on 84. Thanks again for the welcome and I will post more as I get the chance.

Shadow needs company.

Hey Puttin', Sis lives in Eugene, Oregon, can use the business. She has worked for several Petsmarts, and a veterinarian, she is trying to get it going on her own from home now.

Puttin510, your girl Lilly looks great! She looks a lot like our Bitsy. You did a great job on her. My wife does all the pet trim grooming on our dogs.

jawlaw, I don't know about denise, but to me standards are completely different than the toys or minis. You can do so much more with them. They are generally a lot more calm in a household also. I can't say our standards wont bark when the doorbell rings, but it isn't as incessant and high pitched as the toys.

kittysmom, I remember talking to you on TP about your sis-in-law being in Eugene. Does she raise standards?

molliemae, yes I do remember! Still like dragons, and wish I still had my GTO.

Jawlaw, I've never had a toy or mini so I honestly can't compare a standard to them.  I have always been someone who prefers a larger dog.  Since having a standard I can honestly say I don't have any desire for any other variety but that's not to say someday that may not change.
