Ok, WAY off pet topic

I need some cheap, easy and quick meal recipies.  Any one have any?  I love to cook but don't have major cash for lots of expensive ingredients and it's getting hot here so i don't want to be in the kitchen with a hot stove or oven for a long period of time.  I have some great recipies but am tired of them and at a blank for new ones.  Thanks

I love off topic posts and all other forms of mischief!

Unfortunately, I'm not good with recipes/cooking, expensive or otherwise....lol My son learned to cook at age 5 out of sheer desperation!

Wait till Pits gets on line - she is the most amazing cook ever! (And she makes the most lovely meals for next to nothing!)

I love to cook! You should get a subscription to Taste of Home Quick Cooking magazine. The entire magazine is nothing but recipes quick recipes that have as little 3-5 ingredients. I work full time and have a husband and three boys so I am all about fast and easy recipes.

If you want I will scan a few of mine and post them.

I am a lazy cook. I can suggest that you get a gas bbq, about $100. for the front porch. I do most meals there. Get a bbq basket, fireplace stores have them, you will prep the meat in it, never need skewers to hold the vegis, and can check for doneness by raising the handle an inch,w/o using spatulas ever again. Get a stainless steel one, unpainted. The initial investment lasts for MANY years. No stench of lighter fluid or charcoal, great taste, fire in 1 minute ready. No more plates, or spatulas except for the one you eat the meal from.
If you have bbq, I can say that the cheapest cuts of meat can be fit for a lord. Tender pork loin w/ a dash of low salt Angostura teriyaki sauce, onion powder, and pepper. Load any vegis that you like squash, zuccini, tomato, onion, bell pepper, mushrooms.
With chicken, boneless thighs, in a baggie with sour cream, oil, garlic, then in the basket, and add your pepper and onion powder. Get the char marks on the meat and finish cooking in the oven, in a covered baking dish, for maximum tenderness and flavor. Any of the above is great with jajiki, or tahini sauce, in whole wheat pita bread.

I have one.  It's a crock pot recipe.  It's really easy and good.  This stuff is sometimes hard to find.  You can usually find it in the aisle with the soups.  It's called Better the Bouillon.  You can get it in chicken or beef flavor.  I think they also have vegetable flavor but I've never used it.  Get a whole chicken or roast and put it in the crock pot with about a cup of water.  Put about a half of jar of the Better than Bouillon in there and some of the Seasoning Magic spices (in the spice section) of either the chicken or beef also.  Cook it on high all day.  It's yummy.  I usually throw in some carrots and potatoes or some other veggies.  That way you only have to do one thing and the whole meal is ready.  I start it around 8 and we eat dinner around 6, just to give you an idea of how long to cook it.
