I got the following email in my Dogster account and on my personal account. I have no idea who sent it or why and frankly I don't care I just want who ever is emailing me to please stop. I have reported the email address as Spam to AOL and have emailed Dogster Admin concerning this matter..

That is scary. How did they get your private email? Guess you might have to change it? I don't know what you can do, but it is pretty sad when you can't belong to whatever forums you want without being harrassed.

My email address has been posted a couple of times on TP and if you are a member of Auspet than it is accessible there just because I chose not to make it private because of my rescue work.

I can promise you that it is no one from this forum. It sounds right up their alley..just like when they hacked into my private messages on another forum. Did you post it over there, too or are you assuming it is someone from here...just curious.

It is kinda of scary not so much the threats of viruses but the fact that someone would go to such lengths over a pet forum? Good grief it's like the mafia or something.

wow..thats a horrable thing to have to recieve...And your right...you cant tell who sent it...its a shame to go to such lenghts just because you go and read posts on a forum...sad state of affairs..I hope that you can some how find out who it is and get some kind of retaliation.

I just don't understand why people are so childish.  Its a computer for crying out loud and for the most part we're not in high school (no offense to those who are).  It's very scary.  It's like a stalker.

Gina- that is what I have been trying to tell people! I know no one probably has believed me...but they continue to stir up things over there, edit and delete so people can't see it. Makes people think we are stirring up when they did nothing.. I mean who hacks into someones private messages because of a forum? They threatened me and told me that I would have some new charges on my credit cards... It was very frightening... Has everyone forgotten what they did to another forum member-I am not naming because I don't want her name to be brought into this-she has had enough grief? They posted an email suggesting that this person was having an affair and it caused all kinds of problems for her and her future husband! People if you do not know what has gone on in the past, what they continue to do and what they are capable of doing, keep your mouth shut!!!

It's all so stupid! I mean good grief this is the internet! I don't know them and they don't know me. Hopefully AOL can give me some insight as to what to do about the emails besides blocking them.

Do you guys remember when a few of the members at TP were being called the RescueRangers? Anyhow last week I got several emails/soliciting porn and the email address on all of them was Rescuerangers@Hotmail.com? I also found that odd just because the emails were all links to porn which someone had deliberately put  into an email. Maybe it was just coincidental I don't know it just seemed odd.

Man Gina...your catching heck about all of this...Im sorry to hear it...I dont understand why it is to be...but some one doesnt like sharing you...takes flattery to a whole new level...I hope AOL can help...and I would press charges to the hilt of who ever is doing it...I hope it stops soon...I wish you luck...
