I'll contribute my to this thread but I might be . I'm about 5' 10 1/2" and weigh about 145lbs. 4 years ago I had cancer in my shoulder removed , and underwent radiation treatment. I weighed 180 lbs. when going through treatment.
I can say that cutting out soft drinks and drinking a whole lot more water can help you drop weight. I generally drink water and from morning until I get home from work. I don't eat breakfast or lunch (usually). My first meal is when I get home for dinner. Then I eat the rest of the night til bed . But I don't eat .
My eating habits are terrible, but I should write my own diet plan. "The ltlgto diet plan. Guaranteed to work if it don't kill you first".

lilgto, your diet plan sounds like my sisters. Everyday she eats 2 snicker bars and about two of those little debbie brownies. Then she gets home form work and eats enough dinner for two people. She weighs about 100 pounds. The doctor told her that if she wanted to gain weight she would have to eat like 5000 calories a day but that is not real healthy. I just got off the phone with her and she just ate like 2 of those frozen Tony's pizzas. She is such a pig. And on the weekends she drinks lots of beer. I am suprised that she is as small as she is.
Paige, how old is your sister? Seems like most of the time, all those calories catch up to you after a certain age.
My biggest problem is what I eat. I like meat, potatoes, chips, Ice-cream, candybars, and a lot of other stuff that probably isn't good for me. I don't eat salad (I've probably never eaten a whole salad in my life). I don't like fruit. I eat few veggies, and they have to be cooked til real soft. I have a lot of problems with textures of food. I love the flavor onion adds to food, but I HATE!!! onions. I used to love to eat bananas, but now can't stand the texture of them.
I find that if I actually eat something during the day (breakfast, lunch, snacks) I'm actually hungrier the rest of the day. I can probably go without food for a day and not really notice. But I do like to drink coffee and water.

I'm darn near perfect. I have abs as tight as a drum and the butt of a 20 year old. My skin is dewy soft and completely wrinkle free. I never have to go to the gym and can eat whatever I choose. I do not sweat...I glow.
My children are also geniuses and my dog cleans up his own poop. My husband not only worships the ground on which I walk, he also cleans up his own dirty underwear.

Maybe a little strange, but I understand what you mean about the whole eating thing. I remember one day when I was so busy with house work that I forgot to eat and then when we had dinner I barely ate at all because I wasn't hungry. And my sister is 25. She is a work-a-holic. She owns her own fed-ex truck and makes the delivery's.
at work on monday we are all buying good food, and we have to get them same thing, no one gets to eat any thing diff, and we have to weight in every monday, this way we all will be doing good, and supporting each other
The low carb way of life works. That is if you don't drink any alcohol. I notice though if I substitute a diet soda for a glass of wine, the craving for the wine goes away. My thing is I crave the sugar. I need to loose about 10 lbs that I have gained back thru the holidays. Now I want to do it. Are we all going to help each other or what now.??? HMMMMMMMMM I really like that fat man dancing in the speedos, LOL thats really funny.
As far as hash browns go, you need a food slicer. It shreds the stuff up in a minute, and then you fry it on 2 sides w/green onion, and bacon bits. 5minute recipe...
Well I never did understand this low carb dieting I mean I really do not understand or I would have tried it by now. Maybe someone can clue me in because after I quit dancing got saved and became a minister I blew up like the good year blimp! lol I went from a fit and trim 129lbs to a wopping 179 lbs. But hey at least I am going north rather then south right? I am sure God has a supersized spot saved for me! lol I carry it quite nicely at 5ft 5 in tall. And some control top panty hose and snug jeans I even get a wistle or two from time to time. But still I would LOVE to be about 140 lbs I think I could live with that. I mean lets face it I have given birth 5 times in my life there is no way I will have that 19 year old body back but it sure would be nice to see hubby again! LOL

I use to weigh 185...I lost 65 pounds. What I did was, I started walking at least one hour a day on the treadmill or outside, but fast walking. Then I started jogging. I was so out of shape I couldnt jog long, but I slowly increased the time. It helped to watch tv or listen to music as i jogged. I finally started running, and ran 6 miles every day, sometimes everyother day. I also only ate when i was hungry, for dinner I always went to the same place, KooKooRoo. I would get chicken, green beans, and garlic roasted potatoes, i could have one sweet thing a day.I also ate dinner early, like at around 4 or 5 at the latest.
I found that if you can make yourself jog or run, that it burns so many calories. I never ran before in my life and when i started i always thoguht, 'i cant go any longer", but i think it is all in your mind. If you make yourself do it once, then you can do it agian.
I went to new york and gained 15 pounds, so I want to loose 10!. Right now since winnie needs to loose weight, i take her out every morning for a walk, we go for an hour. Then in the afternoon I will take Lana for a jog, but we jog a block, walk a block,and so on. Hopefully this will work for me, I just need to stop cheating on my diet!
Sydney, I am trying to get my way to jogging again. But I have to take it very slowly. So I am at a fast walk right now for about 2 miles. But when Oscar goes with me he has to pee on everything. I also have very bad knees from when I played Volleyball and Fast Pitch Softball. But I only exercise 4 times a week. I also lift weights some. I am trying to get my arms toned. And to make myself feel better I tan 4 times a week. I must say that I have a pretty good tan going. My mom always told me that fat is always better tan. But anyways back in my younger days I used to jog 10 miles a day. And normal weight for me is like 140-160. At 150 I was like a size 5. I am tall. I think its funny when me and my mom go out because she is 5'1" and I am 8 inches taller than her. I think if I can really just put my mind to it I will be the same old skinny girl I used to be.
LOL, I totally need to lose weight!! I was between 120 and 130 all thru high school and then when I went off to cosmetology school, I gained about 10-15 lbs and then when I got married, I gained another 15-20 lbs!! So I now have about 30 lbs of extra weight on me that I would like to get off. I'm 5'7" and weigh about 160. I would love to be 130 and size 5 or7 again. Such is life!! I have absolutely no motivation to exercise and I love food, so I'm screwed!!
