He is a year and a half now. Then he was a few months old.

what a cute pup! Awwwwww I love puppies I would have a house full of cuddle bug puppies except for the pooping, chewing, barking and the fact they grow up it would be heaven on earth for me. lol

Nope, the one that will be at Crufts is one that I got from Scotland, son of the world champion.
This one, Kobe, is up on the leg which is usual for his age. Some dogs keep coming up balanced and others go like Kobe, he also lacks in his hindquarters. He could do with more width over the second thigh. His head looks super though. He in my opinion is needing time to mature and he will be world class also.

Those are adorable dogs!  My parents bought a Chessapeak Bay Retriever for $50.00 once from a breeder for a pet because she was 'not show quality'.  They decided to show her any way and by the time she was a year old, she was #1 in the nation.  Never know.

Wow those dogs are beautiful. I dont think I have ever seen a retriever look like that before. they are so awesome!
