I'll update everyone. Not sure who know what as I was on some other forums until this time last year. I've taken a break you could say.
Kylse is no longer with us. Cancer took her a couple years ago. Barney is no longer with us, old age took him Tigger is also no longer with us, cancer took him as well.
Winter and Storm are doing great. Winters going on 13? (I think) this year and Storm will be 7. We also have some new additions!
Caymen, he's our baby boy. He's a Chow Chow, I'm sure you all remember me saying that someday we would have one well that day came this time last year. We were looking on craigslist and just happened to find this lil ball of fur up for adoption thru a BT rescue. The next day he was ours! Here he is....
First pics we saw of him:
First days home:
All grown up (well somewhat he's still got prolly another 6-7 months of filling out)
Caymen and Stormy butts!
Then there's Pauly and Nubby. Both are just over a year old Pauly is a Black and White short hair from a feral colonie. Momma left him for dead when he was about 3-4 weeks old. My husband found him and brought him home. (if you knew my husband ths would shock you) Shortly after that my Hemmeningway (sp) Kitty Autumn went missing (we moved and she got out on accident). This killed me she was my little baby girl and was always with me at the time she was just over a year old. Well hubby felt bad and a friend of his, his ex wife had a litter of Minx's and well here come Nubby, just a few weeks older then Pauly. Yup 2 kittens at once! They are still crazy!
Well on to the pics! This is Autum and Pauly when Pauly was just a little guy. Autumn LOVED him!
More of the little guy!
Miss Nubby as a little one!
Getting ready to attack Pauly!
All grown up! Pauly HAS to sleep on the pillow if he's on the couch!
I don't have any recent pics of Storm or Winter. Sorry
But heres recent pic of Caleb to make up for it!
Last year wasn't to nice to us either. Long story short my mother lied to us and we ened up getting kicked out of our house because she didn't pay the morgage that she said she didn't have. Left us homeless with 3 dogs and a child. We now have our own place and getting back on our feet again. Keith got me a new dirt bike for Valentines day and shortly after that he got a new one as well. Next is a new street bike for me, as I had to sell mine inorder to have a roof over our heads this time last year.
WOW That was long! Well theres my update!
I really missed this place BTW I hope we can get it going again!
Sorry about the losses of your pets. Wow your mom made ya move thus lossing your precious kitty. Bad mother. Not you. I can't remember when I was here last. My crew is still kicken. Sasha is over 14 now. Keep wondering how long she will go. Rufus is ok except for a couple days of upset tummy. Lilly is great. And I can't remember if you guys had seen my newest guy. My foster failure job. Tango (Malemini poodle, cream from our rescue) just turned 2 this st. pattys day. Thats the birthday we gave him. LOL I have had him since he was about 5 months old. got many puppy teeth from him. Esther you chow is a cutie. Chow puppies are sooooooooo darned cute. Is he called a sable? When I was a kid we had a manx cat that was huge. My neighbors saw him out in the field behind our house and thought it was a bobcat. You have lots a cuties in the family. Your son is just as adorable as ever stilllll.
Honestly I have no idea what color he is considered. I've been told, red, cinimmon (sp sorry it's late and just got back from the track), blue ( he doesn't look it) but the dark on his face is actually blue not black, he also has a blue hue to him. I've asked several Chow fanicers and no one seems to know, from what I understand he's not a common color. As he gets older he gets darker. I'm so confused on what color he is! LOL
Yeah my mom did a good one on us. Really ticked me off and I can prolly count on one hand how many times I've talked to her since then. It was just the iceing on the cake for me with my mother. We lost EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING, we were too worried about what we were going to do with the animals we never got a chance to find storage for our stuff. But everyone made it and we didn't have to rehome or give anyone up. Poor Caymen had only been with us about 3 weeks when it happened. Then we lived in an apartment with my MIL(one bedroom) that only allowed dogs under 20LBS and NO aggressive breeds. Storm stayed with my BIL and Winter stayed with my father til we found a place. My dad found it hard to give Winter back, he wanted to keep her so bad. Things were like that for over a month, til we finally found a place that would accept Storm and Caymen, Winter had never been a problem as she's so small and non aggressive. Autumn I was keeping at my office at the time and when we finally moved her here she got one about a month later. I see her every so often but she will not let me catch her, i've tried everything. But I do know she's being fed, she's fat as ever. Just wish I could catch her. She was a great cat.
But everythings back to normal execpt I now live in the ghetto and we're not too thrilled about it. We are hopeing to move when our lease is up in May\June. We want to go back to the country, city life isn't for us anymore.
And the funny part about all this. We needed a roommate as we couldn't affort $1100 rent alone. So I called my mothers EX husband and asked him if he wanted to move in with us, as I knew he had been looking to find another place. So my mothers EX husband is now our roommate. I've known him since I was 15 and they had just recently split ( Jan of last year), he LOVES Caleb and Caleb loves his Paw Paw, Maw Maw not so much. He's still mad at her as he lost all his toys, his bed, his friends, just as much as we lost. I felt so bad for him. We didn't have a bed for over a month cause we couldn't afford to buy us one but Caleb got a brand new bunk bed for him and his brothers the day we moved in. Who BTW we are getting every weekend now!!!
Ok So I think i've typed enough for this sitting! LOL
Poor Caleb, old enough to know all this fell on his grandma. How sad for him to have to move let alone loose everything he loves too. Esther you did a great job of pulling it all together. Keeping everyone that mattered. Geeze its almost like you survived a natural disater.
I think if I were out in the country and had to move to the city I would not like it either. Especially not being around the sort of people you would rather be around.
Stormy, I'm so glad to see you back here and so sorry to hear that you've had to go though all that stuff. What horrible year! Defintely glad to hear that things are going better. And a dirtbike for Valentines Day??? Thats SO cool and I could only see that happening in yur household...lol!! You have a great hubby!
Yup we're still in Tampa, moved right into the city and hate it! LOL
LOL You should have seen some of the looks I got when I told people I got a dirt bike for Valentines days! People must think we are crazy! Any time there is a gift to be givin in our family it's always dirt bike related!
I'll have to get the pics and vids posted. I have millions now, just haven't posted them anywhere but MySpace.
