Shadow, please don't say things like that to me. It's bad enough, moving into a different house, that happens to be 100 years old, but it's worse when ppl say things like that. Believe me, I've already gotten enough crap from ppl saying things like that to make me scared of my own house. That's the LAST thing I need, is to get excited about this house, then be scared, physically scared, to move in. I'm sorry, I'm sure you didn't mean any harm by it, but I've already had this convo with ppl in chat and with friends, so I really don't need to see it here, where i'll have to look at it every time I want to view the posts on this thread.
Mollie im very sorry if I made in feel afraid of your new home. But, really Mollie why did you say anything about the picture if you didn't want anyone to look and comment here about it? That's the only reason I said anything.
Everyone else mentioned it before and i'm sick of talking about it. I do not want to be afraid of my own house, but I already am. And I'm not even moved in yet. Oasis knows that I'm already physically scared to death of this house, and I haven't even spent a day in it yet. I'm done with this conversation and this thread.

Mollie I surely wouldn't have said a thing if I had picked up on a true fear, but I honestly didn't. I hope you come to peace with it.Yor new home should bring you many, many years of wonderful memories. I just went back and read what you said about housemates, i didn't read that the first time, sometimes I just skim over the post.Sorry mollie
Don't be afraid of the new house. Once you have all your things in it and decorated and painted the way you want it you should feel at home. So what colors are y'all gonna pick? I say dark/rich/warm colors.
I would like to do reddish/cranberry color in the dining room and/or living room, but Brad says no. We kind of have an idea of something we agree on-picked out paint chips at Wal*Mart the other day. The bathroom is a very ugly, rusty sort of color that they sponged or texture rolled over white, so it looks REAL bad!! 95% of our bathroom towels are either blue, purple, or green, so we're thinking of a nice, fun blue for the walls in there. I like to have fun splashes of color, and bold colors everywhere, but Brad won't let me do that. He's more into neutrals, blacks, and slate greys and blues. BLEH!!!
I think in the older homes you should have dark colors. Our house is is older with the crown moldings and big door/window frames and we have been painting on it for like 2 years now. The dining room is redish orange, the living room is a chocolate milk brown, and Kaitlyns bedroom is a buttery yellow. We still need to pick a color for our bedroom, hallway, bathroom, and kitchen. But the bathroom and kitchen will be last because we plan on gutting them. Redoing is fun but costly. So we just have been doing one thing at a time.
