new all-in-one printer..Woohooo!

My birthday is Thursday (and so is Paigebeverly's!) and I just got an early birthday present! It's a copy machine/fax/printer, and it prints pictures on photo paper too. I am having way too much fun with my new toy.

I have an all-in-one w/o the fax. My mom gave me a fax copier, but there were no instructions for printing, so I gave it back to her. I have an hp psc 1350v, now and it is wonderful...If I need to fax something, I will give Kinkos a dollar to do it for me. That stupid machine mom gave me had like 40 pages of fax instructions Being as dumb w/computers as I am, it totally boggled me. This hp makes color photos, from scan or e-mail, or internet, and I use the photo program to store all my pictures. I love it...

Happy early birthday!! How old are you gonna be?

I have one of those all in one printers too. But I have never figured out the fax part. But being able to make your own pictures is great. Just make sure you buy a high quailty photo paper.

Thanks! I will be 29. You are the second person that has told me to buy good paper and I think I have already gone and bought cheap paper. It's a brand called Office Works that I got at Kroger (grocery store).

I have had 2 of the all in one printers and I love them..the first one..we had an electrical storm and had a power surge..and it fried a few things like coffee pot and my modem...ect and then i was remortgaging and needed to fax stuff like crazy,.and it didnt work..so we went to staples..but it isnt close..like 3/4 hour away..so we hurryed up and bought another one..since we thought the fax modem was fried too..could not buy one seperately..so..the new one wouldnt work either...turns out my phone cord was fried..and the new printer was not necessary after all..but..we kept it..just a few months ago a old friend of mine called and they were online..and didnt have a printer..so i gave it to her..and set it all up...and it works perfectly..so..now i know not to just jump off and buy new from now on..lol..I also have printed many pics with mine..and they turn out ok with any paper i use..just the color bleeds less with the photo paper..but..I have some pretty good ones framed on just paper...good luck to you   and enjoy the new toy...

Kittys Mom..Yes...I have battery back up power surge protectors now..I have had those cheap ones melt right up..I have had problems with lightning, power surges and The transformer gone hay wire since I have lived here.I had clamed on my insurace 2 times..I have had less trouble with the battery back up protectors..Believe it or not. But, they are not cheap...but..in the end they can pay for them selves...I paid like $150 a piece for mine..they might be cheaper now..but mine beep when the power is off...

Besides...It turned out the be the "phone cord" connected to the fax that was fried...

Huh, don't get much lightning around here. The power in CA is dicey during the summer. I hope that never happens to me.
