and how much?? I have to force feed her, and I don't do it but every few hours. I also give her a little olive oil everyday just incase she is constipated or has a hairball. I can feel her hip bones and the vet hasn't called with results on her geriatric panel. When my dog had a geriatric panel, it took two days so I'm assuming that's why.
Iman does really well on[Dick Van Patten's] Natural Balance canned Hairball formula. If I don't parcel the food out in maybe 4x a day small meals she gobbles and ralphs it. Try that food, it is a dollar a can, but I really like how it smells, and how I don't clean kitty puke everyday, usually discovering it on the way to the bathroom in the dark at 4am, by stepping in it... I am using a cheaper kind to suppliment it now that she has gained weight, is healthy and demanding, but I try to feed some of it everyweek to keep her regular/eliminate hairballs.
where can I find that, Kitty? I have to force feed her, I'm feeding her about every 2 hours, but it's only about 2 teaspoons I can get her to eat of the hills prescription diet, plus a little yogurt, half n half (fattening) and a little chicken broth
Ick, but the yogurt, if non fat trader joe, french village, or mountain high, is good. I got it at PETCO. But most pet stores have it, google if you have to. http://www.naturalbalanceinc.com/products/UPFcanned.html#Hairball That is my main man on the cat scene...
