Last night me and Brad took Oscar to Petco. He was a tad but hyper though, it was like he forgot how to walk on the leash. But then again Brad was the one walking him usually I do. But anyways, we had to go there to buy some heavy duty toe nail clippers. I figured that it as about time I started doing it myself instead of paying 8 bucks everytime to get it done. And I did learn one thing, Oscar doesn't like birds. I was in the bird room petting a parrott and Oscar tried to lunge at it. Maybe he wanted to play. But he does like Hampsters and Rats. So I think soon I may buy Kaitlyn a cute little Teddy Bear Hampster. But I know that it will really be mine.
When we finally got home we decided to do Oscars nails. He was so good but I think he was trying to spend more time licking the peanut butter from the spoon that was dangling in front of his face. Once he actually tucked his feet underneath him. What a butthead.
And when I checked my e-mail last night I surprised to see a breeder had email me. I had talked to this lady about 7 months ago about her Neapolitan Mastiffs and she wasn't expecting any at the time. Well, she had a litter two weeks ago and remembered me. She only has like one litter every two years. I want one so bad but I know that right now I can't. She seems like a very well eduated person when it comes to breeding and the Neo breed. I plan on keeping her in mind for when I actually get to buy a Neo. Oh well, I think I have typed enough. Hope everyone has a good day.
AAAWWW!! I love neos!! Just like Fang from Harry Potter. I love how big and slobbery they look. And their big ol jowels that hang halfway down to their legs!! I love big slobbery dogs!! I hope you get to have one soon, Paige. I have a friend that has a Great Dane and an English Mastiff, in an apartment!! Him, his girlfriend, and their two huge dogs!! I'd love to go visit them sometime, just to see what it's like with those two horses running around the apartment. I know Danes and Mastiffs dont' really need all that much room even though they are very large. They do have a dog park in back of the apartment place, so that the doggies can run around and play and such. That's awesome!! Well, I hope you get to have your neo!! You deserve it!! And I hope you get Kaitlyn her hamster too, even if it is yours, lol.
Brad said that it would be at least another year before we get a Neo. We want to get our settlement first because then I will be able to buy the best. LOL!!! Brad said that his price limit on one would be 1800.
MPP, if you have ever seen Harry Potter. Its the big black dog. I also wouldn't mind getting another dane. I told Brad the other day though that I wouldn't mind getting a smaller dog, something like a French Bulldog. But I know thats not gonna happen. And yes I was so afraid of hurting Oscar because everytime I would cut a nail he would flinch.
Buck went to Petco on Tuesday, after class. We were getting a medium weight training collar[light made me real nervous] and a heavier leash, the thin web one rope-burned my hands. I got one called comfort cushion leash. Buck liked all the nice people that petted him, we did not go near animals there. Actually, I recrated him and went back in the store to get 40# of Nature's Recipe, could not juggle him and the purchases. I met a nice man w/ a Lab/Weim mix in the parking lot later, and Buck got to come out and show off his gorgeous body...
I only take Oscar to Petco when they aren't very busy. He doesn't really like it when 20 people circle around him. I try to tell them to back off but they are pretty rude and keep bugging him to where eventually we have to leave the store. But don't get me wrong, Oscar loves attention from just a couple people at a time. I guess I haven't heard of the collar you got Buck. I use a prong on Oscar when we go out, but I have been thinking about going to a Gentle Leader.
I have to use a harness on Milo because he'll hack himself to death with any collar and lead.....lol And i can't take him to petco because he'll pee on everyone.......
It is just a regular choke chain collar. If he continues to pull on me I will use my prong collar. I think the leash will give me the leverage I need, the other one keep sliding thru my hands.
