puppy teeth....

When do puppies normally start to lose their puppy teeth? I dont know how much more of this chewing I can take.  Bacon must chew on everything and everyone.  It seems the more chew toys I buy him the more he likes to chew on the couch or Beeper's neck.  I was just wondering when these daggers are going to fall out.  Thanks in advance!!!

Kula started losing his when he was 5 months old and all the baby teeth were gone by 7 months.  Once they started, it was amazing how fast they fell out and new ones grew in....sometimes a new tooth was fully in place by the end of the day! There was a HUGE difference in his chewing once all of the little ones fell out!  Good luck!

You know I never noticed when Oscar lost his baby teeth. I am surprised that I never stepped on one.

I got bit accidently when my pups were just getting big, last litter. Little guy was hanging from my thumb by that sharp needle tooth. Dang did that hurt all week! I am now slightly more circumspect about my methods of treat giving with pups. Poor little guy, I could not even scold him. He could not figure out why he was hanging there, and where was that treat, anyway?...

Lilly started loosing them at 4 months, as soon as they dropped out two days later more were coming in fast.  The last two fell out at 6 months.  If you get to the point where you think some may not fall out, play tug of war with a rope toy to help loosen them.  I was even told to help them along by wiggling them. All that worked.

Thanks everyone for the advice. Bacon got me the other day and actually drew blood. He thought my hand was part of the rope when we were playing tug of war. lol I dont get how Beeper can sit there and let Bacn chew on him and not fight back. I know it has to hurt especailly when he chews on Beepers neck. I cant wait for the 5-6 month milestone with Bacon.
