Well, this is Copper Whopper's last nite with us. I've got everything all set to go. I'm taking the day off tomorrow to spend the morning with him. I shaved his face & trimmed his nails tonite, and will bathe him in the morning so he's all beautiful for his new mommy & daddy. We'll head to the airport at about 1:00. He's gotta be there 2 hrs before the flight which leaves at 4:00. He should arrive Seattle at 8:00. I've told his new mommy that I don't care what time it is when they get him, they gotta call me otherwise I won't get a wink of sleep.
I'm very nervous. I've never shipped a dog. Even though I know it's done everyday and that a few hours in a plane will be much less stressful for him than days in a car with multipe people he doesn't know, I'm still a nervous wreck. I got some Valium for him (just in case), but I may have to take it myself. LOL
Everybody keep Copper in your thoughts tomorrow for a safe and uneventful flight.
I'll miss this sweet boy so much, but I know he's gonna have a fabulous life.
Oh, Crestie, I'm sure he'll be just fine. And it's great that you found him a wonderful home, even though it's so far away. GOOD LUCK COPPER!! Your foster mommy misses you!!
Well I hope you were able to get some sleep last nite - I bet his new family feel the same way! I'm sure he made it there fine & within a few more hours you'll be getting a call that he arrived safe & sound and Copper & his new family are thrilled!
Its always a bit stressful actually for all involved. When I went to pick up my pup, I had to get there a couple hours ahead just cause I wanted too. I pestered the lady in the area, Not really she was very friendly and there was two other pups on the flight too. So they had at least each other, . Make sure to tell them to give nitrical upon arrival. Don't want shocky dogs. But my pup was fine no problems. If its cold, you could put a sweater on him.
