Farewell sweet boy....mommy loves you (she says with HUGE tears running down her cheeks).

He's beautiful and I remember now that he was a foster.  Sorry.  Took me a few minutes.

He's been with me since October 29, 2004 so about 6 mo. He fit in here from day one. I know he's going to have an excellent life and once I get the first report of how everyone is settling in, I'll be just fine. I just hate these goodbyes cuz I get so attached to all my fosters. I'd keep them all if I could.

I know what you mean. I rehome my dogs after, or before, I breed them. I gave up my favorite dog ever, Kitty's mom, to be a house pet for a lady with a little horse ranch...It was such a great place for her to live. I sold her for $700., not gave her away. The woman really wanted her, and I wanted Phoenix to have a life that I wish I could have, and share with her. I have Kitty, her daughter, who is all of her mom and more. But it just made me ache to give her mom up. Kitty is my consolation, and hopefully the mother of the next generation to come in 2years. I was weepy that time and depressed almost a month. It does pass.

Good dog doesn't even cover it. He is the sweetest, gentle, laid back, happy-go-lucky, not a mean bone in his body dog. When I was loading up the truck, my hubby snuck Pixie into the crate thinking I wouldn't notice. LOL

Now for my shipping saga: All I can say is thank God I had the foresight to leave early. Got all the paperwork outta the way and went back out to the truck to get the crate, and the guy tells me it's too small. What really ticks me off is when I was about 1/2 way to the airport the thought popped into my mind that I probably should have loaded up a bigger crate just in case. Anyway, I had to run about 3 doors down to American and buy a bigger crate from them….again, thank God they had one, otherwise I would have had to run about 10 miles up the road to nearest WalMart to get one and he had to be check in by 2:40 at the latest (it was 1:55 by this time). Unfortunately, the didn't have the next size bigger from what I had so I had to get one 2 times bigger (& of course it's the size we already have 3 of at home). I was so frantic trying to get it purchased, put together & Copper and his goodies in it & attached to it, that I didn't have time to get all emotional until the time came for me to actually put him in it and shut the door. What made it worse was there were 4 other dogs out there already crated & barking so Copper was whining because he wanted to go see the other dogs. They did let me put the femur bone in with him so at least he'll have something to gnaw on to keep him occupied.

The minute I walked in the door at home & greeted the other dogs, I just lost it. Copper wasn't here standing on his hind legs waving his front paws at me until it was his turn for my welcome home snuggles. So far Ricky seems pretty oblivious, he's too interested in laying out on the deck in the sun chewing on his bone.

In any event, Copper should be in the air now and winging his way toward Seattle.

Awwww. I'm sorry. Thats why I could never foster a dog. I would get way too attached.

What a sweetie!  I'm sure Copper will be well loved & cared for in his new forever home!  I'm another who wouldn't be able to do fostering because I'm sure I'd never be able to let them go.

Awwww Sorry you miss him so much. You did a great thing by giving him a foster home and finding him a forever home. Now you have room to make another misarable baby's life full of love and happiness!

Have you heard anything yet? I'm sure he's prolly already there!

Maybe this will help with picture posting.

Go to www.tinypic.com   Click on Browse, your computer file will pop up, know what the name of the picture is, then you can click on it.,  Then click on host, wait a few seconds, then scroll down a bit,  Then left click on the third section it starts with [img] it will darken, then right click and click on copy, come back here to a post you have started, go to the top of the computer and left click on edit, then when you see paste click on it. Your picture should be here.

If you use photobucket do the same, click on the link that begins with [img] and do the rest like above.

I am sure the little guy will be loved. Try again to post his picture. I know you loved him. Your job is hard.
