My Step Son At Prom....what a goof!

My step son and three of his friends decided to wear tux's similar to those worn in "Dumb and Dumber" David wore the mint green, Matt pale yellow, and Josh wore the baby blue. 


The other two had not been announced at school yet and David and his date were the first to show up. They went on stage to be announced and the crowd went wild. He looked like a pimp. Top hat, cane, sunglasses! It was so funny. Ruffled shirt and bowtie! He is combination of Jack Black and Will Ferrell. He is so funny and has a great sense of humor. He was in the court to be King and that is amazing considering how is life was about 8 years ago. He was headed for trouble. Now he is like the most likeable guy you'd ever meet.


I just wanted to share some pics with you guys and show him off. We are still getting calls from friends about how funny these guys were. I guess the newspapers took more pics of them than anyone else and that made David feel so good. He is a big kid and gets down about his weight, but he had a blast that night.

That is hilarious, MPP!! Sounds like the kind of guy I'd have been friends with in high school. Love that tux though. Very Dumb and Dumber-like.

OH! I wanted to say how good he made me feel that night! He went out to the car while we were taking pics and brought me a card and flowers. The card said he was thankful for me and he wouldn't be where he is today without me. Takes alot to make me cry, but that about did it!


He is such a good kid!!

I know...I am so proud of him! Russ' oldest son didn't go to any prom, we had issues with him, he has luckily gotten has act together recently. We are going to include a cake and gifts for him at David's reception.


My kids are on the right track...they are lazy, but other than that and a smart mouth, I have been really blessed. Wow....I must be in a mushy mood today!! lol So unlike me!

Amazing how those "big, tough" boys can just melt your heart, isn't it?
