I hate being alone

Well my (sometimes) DH just flew out to Houston this morning ,he will be gone all week. He went on Businees but his daughter is driving from Killen,TX. to have diiner with him. That will be special ,since she is moving to Germany for 3+ years , so he won't being seeing her again for sometime.Man, I couldn't stand being away from my kids that long !  I hate staying here in this house alone, I have never felt comfortable here,We have lived here 5 years.Alot has happened around here,on Mothers day my DH got up at 5am and went out to his car to get my Mothers Daty gift ,at that time everything was fine.He didn't lock his car door back,so when he went out at 6am to smoke, someone had broke into his,car ,our truck,my car was in garage so it was ok.They broke our neighbors car window and took his garage remote. They took everything out of my husbands company car, the worse was his brief case thingy, it is his bible in a sense. All his bussiness contact info was in there. They even took hids drive right, ripped it right out.Digital camera , even his drink holder.HA! There was still foot prints and bicycle tire prints, the grass was still went from the sprinklers coming on. Now yesterday morning there was 2 cops down on the corner sitting by two cars with broken windows. About a year ago they were breaking in houses, now they can break in here ,just when Im not home.I think I'LL be staying the night at Dad's this week.Im such a chicken!!!!

I wouldn't blame you for not wanting to stay by yourself. I remember when Brad used to work the grave yard shift and I would here noises all night long. I know I wouldn't go to bed until the sun would start rising.

Well the cameras would work,as far as motion lights ,they always broke in the houses around 10 am.Im sure they were casing them.My neighbor was home sick one friday ,she ran to the store was gone a whole 15mins, they had gotten in through an open bedroom window. They took dvds, xbox, stero, camera, stuff like that.

Sounds like visiting dad is a bad idea this week. They are likely just after stuff to steal.
Start reporting any cars in the neigborhood that don't belong there. Any chance of a local neighborhood watch intervening? Look in the phone book. Are any of your neighbors home all day[ie: no job]? Sounds like a local may be in on it. Call the local police, ask for the watch commander, and ask him if you can have increased patrols in the area. If that is cool, ask for them whenever you feel it is a good idea. I have lived in a gang&drug neighborhood for 25years, police usually appreciate feedback and eyes out. Just be sure to use the regular police line, not 911, and find out who the liason for the problem is from the watch commander. If a special person is not in charge of your neighborhood's crime spree, ask if one will be soon. Also, if you call the cops when you see something suspicious, request no police contact, so the baddies don't target you. The cops can get all their info on the phone.
Ask if a police car can be parked in the area, during those hoursmaybe even equipped with camaras.
My father was Lt. Detective Commander for LASO, this is all stuff I learned from him. He says the squeeky wheel gets the grease. No squeek, no enforcement.

You are right Kitty.IM satying home tonight,me,shadow and my colt 45 We did start a neighborhood watch.Hasn't helped too much. Our police force is so understaffed due to budget cuts,so Idon't think they would have extra time for patroling. Our town has gotten so bad about gangs ,it's unreal.

You poor thing.
Eat some plain yogurt, and avoid sweets. Um, and don't breathe on me
If the bad guys are out at 10am, they are probably asleep at night. Just make sure your doors are locked, and leave the lights on outside. Lights scare boogeymen. Also they are cheaper than the doctor, so light up...

It's hard when you are used to having company. Is the dog there with you?

He doesn't play with toys, so I doubt he would a playmate either. He has been driving me nuts with the kitties, always worried about them.He won't hardly even eat.

Oh, he's a Yorkie. That sounds pretty cat sized. I would just be glad he has the cats to keep his attention. I had a terrier once that used to play with the cat. The cat would stalk him and grab him and they would wrestle. It was real cute. They both enjoyed it. That was a cockapoo or something.
