Math

Here is a math trick so unbelievable that it will stump you.

1. Grab a calculator. (you won't be able to do this one in your head) or use a pencil/pen.

2. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the area
code)

3. Multiply by 80

4. Add 1

5. Multiply by 250

6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number

7. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again.

8. Subtract 250

9. Divide number by 2

Look at your answer...
AMAZING!!!!!

hmmm........i did it twice and got the last 4 digits of my number but it had a 61 in front of it. And my cell # i get correct with a 952 in front of it.  Is this what it's supposed to do?

It's running like a pattern almost.

I am by no means a math wiz but i think it works because if you look at like multiplication and division, they are pretty much the same but just using the numbers a different way.  Same with adding and multiplication.  No matter what direction you go about it, you will come up with those numbers.  I'm not really sure how you get the first 3 in the phone number but the last 4 make sense to me.  I have no idea if i made sense...........lol

That's pretty cool.  Worked with both my home number and my cell.

Who the heck comes up with this stuff??
I'll have to see if my geeky husband can figure out the logic...
