     When I first got Shadow(last November)I started feeding him eukanabua, he did pretty good on it,but I read some things and plus it made his breath awful. So ,then I starting feeding natural balance which he seem to like ,but seemed like he was having a hard time chewing it so I tried softing it alittle with water ,tried mixing alittle canned food ,he wouldn't have much to do with it. So since he has many teeth missing I thought maybe I should just try soft food all together,well i tried (i know i'll get ripped for this)Casears in come in little plastic containers, im sure most will know ehat im talking about.           He seemed to really like it,but his coat has really been looking bad.I have to bath him about evey 5 days because it gets so oily now.Maybe cause of the food???Well Sunday I bought him Nutro max,chicken in lamb ,he wasn't having any part of it until today he ate a liitle.Should I just keep offering after 3 days?

Look around for this stuff called Merrick. Rudy is very picky but let me tell you he loves this stuff! Website is http://www.merrickpetcare.com/ You can look on the store locator for one near you. (cheaper at store than ont he website)


You can also go to a website where someone said its alot cheaper and was posted on TP it is http://www.onlynaturalpet.com

I was the one that just ordered the Merrick from Only Natural Pets.  I'm going to try this for Kula, since he's been turning his nose up at the Natural Balance more often than not lately.  Their prices are pretty good and shipping wasn't bad, but it's definitely not a cheap food.  More expensive than Natural Balance.  I ordered a 5# bag and a total of 10 cans.  With tax and shipping it came up to about $40.  The Merrick site claims free shipping, but their prices are WAY higher to cover the shipping.


Hopefully Kula will eat this...otherwise I'll be making a little donation to the shelter!

I've even thought about trying the Merrick. They sure have funny names for their canned food, Wingaling. I hear it has three whole chicken wings in it.  But yeah keep giving your dog the food, Nutro is better than what he was getting.

here is a list of the reccomended dog foods. the better foods are usaually found at feed stores. i feed vp complete and natural balance lamb(comes in a tube) as treats. they dont have the merricks here either . and i also have a german shepherd besides my two frenchies, so shipping a large bag of food is expensive. i pay about 35.00 for a 40 lb bag. but there no corn or meat by-products or fillers. my dogs love it and have beautiful coats .

They didn't have it listed on their website as being sold at the store I got it at. So just keep checking your local food store and possibly ask them if they will be getting it in. Rudy loves it. We have only so far fed Grammy's Pot Pie.
