How about have to retire early from heart disease and spinal cancer and need that money to cover meds and chemo and radiation and still die at 54........like my dad. Or....have to take care of a spouse with alzhimers while you are the only one who works and supports 4 people.....like my mom and step dad. I see where you are going Shadow and i see Mollie's take too but i really think it's not just SC's that complain, everyone does. No body ever seems satisfied. Once again....JMO.

And you are allowed to have your opinion, O, just as I am to have mine. My grandpa died at the age of 59, had 3 heart attacks and 2 strokes and 2 pacmakers before doing so. I was 9. He never complained a bit about anything. He was my favorite person in the world and I miss him dearly. But never did I once hear of him complaining about not getting enough money from the ss. Not once. He was a great man and we all loved him dearly and my mom feels the same way about sc's complaining about money issues. JMO.
Shadow, you are allowed to have your own opinion of me. However, I have nothing wrong with my head. Just to clear things up.

Thanks for understanding Oasis,im sitting here with tears running down my face. Maybe not everyone was fornutate as me to have wonderful parents and feel the pain of seniors.This is a very sentive issue and they for someone to come off like they are apolgizing and to make such crass remarks,Scarey mind !!!

No, see I do like senior citizens. That's why I work in a NURSING HOME and have done so for so long. I just don't like it when they b*tch and moan about ss not being enough. Why don't you get that?? Why does that have to be something wrong with me or my head or my heart when I have an opinion about something?? Please enlighten me. BTW, I love my grandmas very much, but I can still hate it when they b*tch about money, can't I??

I think it's just that people have different views of the way things are or should be. That's what makes us human. What was said offended you and did me a little too but i'm sure we have both said things that have offended others. Life is tough but no matter what happens in it, i am greatful to be here. I would hope that it will be ok for me when i hit that senior age......getting there fast....lol but i am seriously doubting it. All i can do is make it now and TRY to save what i can to help in my senior years......not happening so far.....lol.

It started out as a joke! Just because some things bug you that SC do does not mean you hate them!

Shadow- you really need to get real here and quit looking for things to get upset about.

Just because you hate that SC drive 20 mph below the speed limit does not mean that you hate them, do not appreciate them and/or disrespect them.

For example, if you hate that teenagers have attitudes...that does not mean you are talking about all of them!

Your post is another example of you overreacting and causing trouble. man o' man alive...

I happen to have had wonderful parents. My mom was a saint. She was sick 10 years before she died of SNP (Supra Nuclear Palsy) which is a form of Parkinson's but much worse and harder to treat. I never heard her complain once. My dad never left her side. He was there until the day she died taking care of him.... However, some things that sc do irritate me to death...doesn't mean I didn't love my parents.

I just want to clarify something. I don't have anything against Seniors. Like I said, I'm almost there. And my heart goes out to the unfortunate ones that have to struggle with sickness and high cost of medicine and living on a limited income. But they aren't the ones that ask for "Discount this and Discount that." It's the Seniors with the tidy portfolio that want more and expect more. Instead of helping other Seniors in need, they're too busy with their bankers diverting stock dividends into tax free accounts.
