Well at work today, two of my coworkers had a dog follow them back from their walk. We tried to get her in my car so I could take her to the SPCA, but no luck. So I had to call the Dallas animal control, but the didn't come. Well one of the guys from the sales office came running in saying we need to go check on the dog that she was having pups. Well she was carrying one and didnt want to give it to us, but finally gave it to one of my coworkers, but it was already died and there was nothing we could do.
I was able to get her into my car by carrying the died pup to it. I got her to the spca, but they will prob put them to sleep. She is a very sweet pitbull, and all she wanted was to be petted. She was just wagging her tail, she knew sit, and laydown. When I was taking her to the spca, she was curld up in the seat with her head on my lap.
Dallas...what a sad story ...i am frankly glad that you were not posting that your pup died..so i am releaved...but feel bad for the pitbull and the pups..Im glad that you steped up to help her..great going Dallas
i just wish that she didn't have to be pts. she is such a great dog.. after talking to my mom, we think several of the people at work were trying to gulit me into taking her home.
but she had mange and I already have more dogs than the city allows, I also don't know how she and my dogs would do, Daisy my lab/collie mix can be dog aggressive.
Anytime they find an animal at work it some how becomes my responsiblity, the others care but iam the one that usally ends up doing anything. There is one other lady there that will help or and did take a injured bird in for us. The other will give money and take water of food out but other than that it me or this other lady.
DAllas...I understnd your position...some times you cant do all that you would like..You cant harm your pets to save another..kind of counter productive i think..I think some people are a more take charge type of person and some just sit back and hope some one does something...I can tell what kind of women you are...good going..
How sad. Poor little Mama. If it would be of help to you in the future, I know someone who runs a rescue in the Dallas area. They take in all dogs but especially pit bulls.
I would love to know shiny...I was on line trying to find pitbull rescuse but all the ones i called had no one to answer the phone. I need somewere to take her, and couldn't wait arround as it was work. The owner of the company had already come up to the front and made some comment about the dog being on the property.
