New Foster Dog...Chancey

I can't recall if I introduced y'all to my newest foster dog. His name is Chancey and he's 10 yrs old. He's been made to live the last 2 years outside in the Kansas elements. He is absolutely a sweetheart and wants nothing more than to sit on your lap and snuggle. Other than have the beginnings of cataracts in both eyes, he's healthy as a horse. I've actually dropped about a pound off of him since and he can stand loose another 1 or 2. The shelter worker that was keeping him free fed and let me tell you...this guy LOVES to eat.

Here he is the day I brought him home:

Check out this farmer's tan from being outside with a dingy nasty sweater:

And here he is last week after discovering that my clean clothes basket makes a pretty darn comfy bed (and after a face shave I might add...looks mucho better now):

And here he is this a.m.

And this one you can see how his tan is starting to even out some. Now, to just get him to lay on his back in the sun to darken up that chest.

What a doll!!!!  I can definitely see the improvement since he's been with you.

How's he like his belly band?  I've never had a dog that needed one but I've always wondered how the heck you get them to stay on where the dog can't get him off.  I just can't imagine Farley not being able to get one off quite easily.

He doesn't mind the belly band one bit and hasn't even tried to take it off. Now, I used to have a foster boy that would take it off the other dogs but never bother his own. If the band is on Chancey won't pee at all, but if it's not on he'll hike his leg on my kitchen chairs & my trash can. Chancey is also the only dog I've ever had that is a trash monger. We've never had to worry about things in our trash before. Now we have to put the basket in the laundry room & shut the door when we're not home otherwise we come home to a nice little surprise. Scared the cr** outta me the first time cuz all I could think about was Chancey (or one of the other kids) eating the morning's coffee grounds.

Sorry...didn't realize that cr** was a no-no. And here was thinking I done good by not using the "S" word.

I actually use diapers on Lil Ricky. You put them on just like a belly band, but the diaper absorbs all the pee. Ricky will never be housebroken so diapers are my best friend.

What a cutie!  I love belly bands and female undies, they work great.

Crestie- it might not really be a no no to some, but Protodog always edited it out and Mollie has, so I did.

I remember when my son was little and my neice who is only 7 years younger than me said "cr*p" and my son looked at me like...."oh, mom...she said a bad word". My neice said "when did cr*p become a bad word?" And I said, "When I had a child!"... lol... a lot of things change when you are around kids. I just try not to use words that I don't want my child to use...

I know that some people do not think that cr*p and p*ss are bad words, but some do, so....
