question!

As some of you know I'm bringing the new kitten home today. I was going to put him in the spare room with food, water, and a litterbox, and keep him secluded from all the other animals until he seems ok after his surgery today. If he doesnt seem to be in any pain or anything and isnt hiding, which he probly will, you guys think it would be ok to only let our 12 week old kitten in the room with him for company?? I figured two kittens together should be ok, what do you guys think?

I will definitly have those two meet first and then introduce him slowly to the other two cats and then later the dogs but this will be in like a couple days. I just thought he might like another kitten companion in there with him.

Put the cat in a crate and leave him in there with the new one. That way the new guy can explore, and have company. Take the crated cat back out after a while, maybe trade it for a different animal. Keep putting visitors in there with him, let him approach them on his own terms. Leave the new cat loose so he feels less pressure. I would not just toss someone inside loose with him. He probably won't feel too good for a few days.

I'm not sure on this one.  I just let the the new cat roam along with the older cat and let them seek each other on their own.  The hissed and spitted for a week or so but one day i came home and they were togeather on the couch cleaning each other.
