I know so many of you were interested in finding out what happened yesterday in court where Anna Berardini of Anna's Pet in Norwalk, Ca faced her charges...that many of her victims help bring against her.

To fill those in that don't know the story. Here's a little info: We purchased Mason from this woman. He had distemper and had to be put down 40 days later. This was our first puppy ever, and yes I admit I didn't know about mills, and horrible breeders and bought a puppy based purely on what this horrible lady told me. She showed us a toy poodle who was supposedly the father, and photos of the mother. When Mason was PTS (because after all of his horrible seizures, he lost control of his bowels) she told me she could have saved him. The woman is a real wacko. I honestly thought I had done something to make my dog so sick. Well after he passed, I started researching the disease and the this woman. Low and behold I wasn't alone. I started finding more and more people in my shoes. Anyone that brought their puppy back to be "treated" by her was given a check and never saw the puppy again.  Those of us who treated the dogs at our vets never saw a penny. Between us we our out tens of thousands of dollars. The diseases range from coccidia, scabies, parvo, and distemper to name a few.

Fast forward 4 months and lots of phone calls and letters to anyone that would listen. Anna B. had her home and business raided. Evidence was seized and yesterday she had to appear in court on 9...yes 9 Possible parole violations. Oh, yah...this lady was on probation for practicing vet. medicine without a license, docking tails, and removing dew claws.

About a dozen of us showed up in court yesterday to remind her of the damage she had done. We wore t-shirts that have In Memory Of and a photo of our precious dead puppy. She came up to us before court started and sat down next to us. She begged us to come out into the hallway and talk to her. She kept on saying we need to end this, let's make peace, I'm a victim too. After the raid she admitted that she bought these very sick puppies from an unscrupulous ring. Still to this very minute, on her website, she claims she is the breeder and her toy poodles are the fathers. We waited and waited yesterday. After she saw us and tried to get us to cut a deal with her..she hired an attorney. He arrived about 1 1/2 hours later and asked for a continuance as he had just been hired. It's been a very emotional roller coaster...but I feel now that there is some sort of hope that justice will prevail.
