BTW Where did you get Bo Bo's collar? I want one for Storm but in black!
I have a story... well... not much of a story, but I feel like telling y'all how Buster came to be my bebe...
So... my dad loves dauchshunds... I'll start with that...
A friend of my mom's co workers found Buster living under a bush by their workplace. They had seen him around, but they had no idea where he came from or whose dog he was and why he was out wandering around by their workplace, so they followed him back to his bush.. :)
so, well, I guess they caught him and whatnot, and my moms coworker took him in, cause she always wanted a dog, but she had cats and her hubby didn't really like dogs...
Well, apparently Buster really wanted the cats... see, when dauchshunds want something, they can make this really high pitched whining noise... and that's the noise buster made whenever he saw a cat...
oh, and get this, buster is a wire hair dauchshund, so he has long hair on his head that you can style any wya and it will pretty much stay that way (Daddy gives him devil horns all the time) well, these people decided that he looked just like Dudley Do Right cause you could part his hair down the middle like that.... *sigh* cute, but cruel... I'm sure he was embarrassed lol
anyways, the hubby just couldn't deal with the dog trying to get the cats, so we got him and named him Buster! I don't remember when we got him, but it seems like it was around christmas time or something casue we were all home and then we were all gone during the day and then one day i stayed home sick from school...
and I guess we bonded, cause from that day on, he followed me wherever I went and howled at the door when I left... lol.. he doesn't do it as much today, but I will still find him waiting outside my door when I wake up in the morning...
The middle pup looks so much like a dog I had named Jayden. She was Jack Russel/Border Collie mix. I miss her alot. She was adopted as a lab mix. Ha! That was not what she was. She had way too much energy for us not having a yard, she liked to try to climb out of our 6 ft. Dog kennel. We even tried agility and she liked it when she wanted to listen. We rehomed her to a farm where she could run free and play with their horses and cattle.
PHew! I figured it out. Well, those are my babies. I've had Dook, the Shiba mix (white) for almost four years, and just recently, got the Schipperke, Dokker..he's six months old. And a handful! But they love each other, and so I'm super happy :)
Dook I got as a shelter rescue, he's a wonderful dog! He was attacked by a larrrrge dog when I first bought this house..and so in purchasing my second dog, preferred to go with a breed that I knew would stay smaller, as Dook isn't necessarily skiddish around large dogs, but can't handle them for long periods of time. He needs 'alone' time when he plays with my friends' bigger dogs. ie, he gets crabby as heck and goes and lays in the corner after about half an hour. haha. So in getting a second dog, I was very careful. But I made an awesome choice :P
It's nice to be back..I'm glad Mollie prompted me to finally start posting again, to take the time to sit and do it.
btw i cant get this silly attatchment thing off of here...dont bother with it, it's up there already. It was my initial sorry attempt at putting pics up lol
