Well as most of you know i'm in Florida AKA Hurricane Ally. Well Hurricane season has started. We have our first taste already only 10 or so days into the season! I have a flood watch in affect until tomorrow night. Boy this is going to be a fun summer! In the past 2 weeks I've seen the sun a whole 2 days and on both of those days it ended up raining! I'm tired of the rain.


So everyone knows ahead of time. We have all agreed (my hubby, the kids and I) that we will NOT be staying if any hurricanes come threw this year. We stayed last year and after seeing all the disturction they caused will are not taking any chances this year. So if one comes and i'm not around for awhile you will know why. I'm getting outta here fast this year!

Where are you at in Florida? I don't need exact details! lol  just name a big city you are near. My cousin is about 45 miles from Tampa, as a matter of fact, I saw a tornado recently went through down there right up the road from her. Her town had some damage from the huricanes but she was ok where she is.  She called me numerous times freaking out though. I felt bad for her. Her husband is a truck driver so she was alone with her two girls.

Thats sucks. I think thats a smart move though. I don't think I would stay either. At least y'all have a warning to get out a week before it hits. When a tornado hits here we have 5 minutes to get under. Sucks!!!

Hopefully this year, mother nature will be kinder to you all down there.  You deserve a break.  Thats for sure.

Actually MPP I'm in Tampa. We didn't get hit too hard last year we were the lucky ones. We had some tress come down and were without power for about a week and a half twice.  It wasn't too fun without power. I ended up packing everyone up and going to my fathers in South Tampa where there was power. That was a house full let me tell you! There were 7 dogs, 4 cats, 3 kids and 4 adults! Anyways, if one comes we are heading to IL with my brother in law, sad part is if we like it we wil prolly stay! But I dunno, i'm not a snowy type of person I need my beach Christams!

Well i hope for your sake they stay clear this year.  i couldn't imaging having to go through that.  im glad i live in BC, there's nothing like that here.  But glad to hear that you'll be getting out of there, instead of sticking it out this time!
