Dogparks

I can't make up my mind weather to start taking my dogs back to the dogpark or not. If I shouldn't take them back to the dog park were should I take them.

On leash, they can go to other parks, lakes and beaches. Hereabouts, they will be ticketed if they are off-leash anywhere but a dog park.
I'm too insecure to go off leash, so I go anywhere and it's about the same for me.
Some towns have sidewalk dining that welcomes dogs, that can be fun...

I've tried that before but if my dog sees another animal or human coming her way she pulls me all around the place. She has all types of collars to try to stop her from pulling but they don't really work that well. She also loves to try to chase cars.

What is wrong with the dogpark? As far as where to go, I guess that depends on where you live, our local park won't let dogs in at all. I am sure it is different everywhere.

Did you have any bad experiences at the dog parks? We have, only on the big dog area. We still go to the small dog one. You can take your dog for long walks by and thru the parks.

The dogpark that is near my house and its the only one I know how to get to has had alot of dog attacks. People are stupid were I am. People bring other dogs to the dogs parks other then dogs. Such as cats, pigs, and probably more but these are the only ones I know of. My dog has gotten trampled by dog there. The dog run at her and don't stop they just keep knocking her down. Plus I've seen dogs mating there and fighting and the only thing the owners do are pull there dogs off or apart and then go on the otherside of the dog area and let them go again and what makes it worse is sometimes the animal control people are sitting in there trucks on the otherside of the fence and they don't do anything about it. Also I can walk my dog in the human parks but people have strange pets and my dog got chased around the human park by a goat. I'm at a lose to where I should take my dog she loves to run and play with other dogs.

Wow, that sounds insane. Chased by a goat.  Do you have a yard you could run her around in?  How about a school ground maybe at night? Only other thing is finding a nice pasture outside of the city. Have you thought of moving, LOL I'm kidding. I'm in Los Angeles. On occasion we get a dog running our way, but aside from the Alaskan Malamute that attacked my dog and fractured his ribs, We've been ok. We're on the coastline, not inner city. Maybe a bit more calmer. Inland I guess some people don't have much options on where to bring their pets. Dog parks are popping up. People have to be firm and call the cops when needed. Actually there should be someone overseeing the parks to make sure unruly dogs do not stay when not wanted.  People get mad, oh well though. A person has got to be brainless to allow their mean dog to trample all over another one.

there is a dog park about 20 minutes from here but i dont trust sophie because she really isnt dog friendly, and joe would just hump others, I don't know if he'd get aggressive with males or not.

My friend susan feels the same way about her dogs. I went with once to see how her dogs would take it and we only stayed for like 10 minutes.

That's amazing..As there are no dogparks in Richardson

http://www.cor.net/Parks/Facilities/YourNeighborhoodPark.html

Now there is on in Plano

http://www.planoparks.org/sub_parks/dog_park.htm  if you look at the rules, It is for dogs only, and I know Plano they would not allow any of the other pets you say are there.
