we purchased a frenchie pup from a breeder in russia. i have been getting several emails from people that are looking to purchase puppies from her. she asked if she could use me as a reference as we still keep in contact with each other and i agreed. i had an excellent experience with her and would highly reccomend her. the problem is, when i posted a reply on another forum(*cough*)a while back about my good dealings with this breeder, i was literally attacked and called stupid among other things because i bought a russian import. my question is, since i did have a good experience with her am i wrong to tell others about it just because she is a foreigner? i would think it wouldnt matter where she came from as much as who she came from.
OMG! tell them to stuff it! Better yet I will.....HEY "other forum" STUFF IT! There lol
Sure you should let people know of good breeders when you have personal expierence with one. And that takes a special kind of nerve since many of our current breeds here now would NOT be here if they were not origionally brought here from other countries. Sheesh how ignorant of some people.

I love your frenchies pics!! I think I said that It was bad to buy from over seas as well! I will say though, that if you have a healthy dog from overseas-or from anywhere! Then brag it to the hills, and give me her name and number! !! Some day I may need it!!! CUTE CUTE!!
Depends on the quality of dog. If it is a shoddy product she is carrying, don't associate with her. It has NOTHING to do with her, unless she is a financial risk, and people are stupid enough to think that finance and pedigrees are in the same catagory. The dogs are all that counts...
At least if she has someone email you, you can tell them that your pup was happy and healthy. I beleive I remember the russian women on t.p. also. They really got on her case.
Ummm just wondering....why is it bad to buy overseas??? What difference does it make?

I read somewhere on the internet.. Where I read it, I couldnt even begin to guess. But it said it is because they dont have as high of standards there, for breeds, and they are not as healthy! I am not saying that is what I believe, it was actually someone elses thread about weather or not to buy overseas. And I gave my opinion, of the only facts I knew at the time! But some of the AKCs {my Holly for EX} is probably the most unhealthiest dog Ive ever come across. Also I have read that some dogs die during transport! So I said that knowing the info I read! But, the more I have been on here, and the {other}. I soon found out that it isnt all bad, and alot of the USA pups that have all these papers ARE NOT THE HEALTHIEST dogs anyways! So like I said, If someone gets a healthy dog from Russia, The US, or from Mars for that matter- I think that they should tell people about it! My Pug Holly is a nightmere of health problums every month! So I no longer feel that way! Sorry to offend anybody!
well its not your fault. its so hard to find a breeder you can trust anymore. there are so many scammers out there now. luckily both my frenchies are healthy. it could have just as easily been a bad experience. rocky we got from a breeder in missouri. he has some slight allergies. nothing major. annie came from russia. she is perfect.but i have talked to other frenchie owners on the french bulldog forum and they have had some sad experiences. most from american breeders and brokers. the main problem is not with the russian puppies. they cannot and will not allow sick animals to be shipped. when they get to the states into the hands of these brokers. they pick up the diseases there.and alot of people that thought they were buying home raised puppies, were actually buying from brokers(importers) and paying twice the amount that the actual breeder sells them for. so we bought annie directly from the breeder and had no problems. there are good and bad in all countries. its just a matter of finding the good ones.
I have seriously considered breeding again once my financial situation imporves to where I can afford it. I am just not too sure though which breed I want to work with this time. My dobies are enough for me in that breed and I have breed them soooo many years that I want to try a different breed this time. Anyway if it took me having to get good dogs from overseas then so be it. And no one would tell me I couldn't give the breeder a reference if I thought the breeder deserved one.

I say if you had a good experience with a certain breeder, and got a quality, healthy pup from them, SHARE THE NEWS. You can only speak about your personal experience, and it seems yours has been good. Let the naysayers (who have no sirect experience, and are only speaking from what they've HEARD) go pound salt. They're free to get their dogs wherever THEY want.
I also got bashed on TP for talking up MY good experience with my russian import (which is the same breeder as dusty ((right? You got your frenchie from Irina correct?)) ) I also get calls all the time using me as a reference. I love it! It gives me yet another excuse to brag up my little boy!
hey jess ! no i didnt get annie from irina, although i do correspond with her via email .so i already knew her when she signed on at tp and got slammed in the first reply. what made me so mad is that the people that were doing the most bashing ,were the ones that had never even had any dealings with russian breeders at all. and how sad is that that someone comes to a forum from a foreign country and gets treated so badly by americans. she didnt know that she couldnt post her webite and after it was removed she didnt do it again ,but the bashing continued. sooooo sad. we got annie from tatiana. we got her export pedigree a couple of weeks ago and i need to get it transfered over to AKC . her sires side is all french and her dams side is all russian. lol . but the bottom line is as you know as you are also on the frenchie forum, is most all of the buyers that had problems were the ones that bought from brokers and mills here in the usa. i didnt hear of any problems from the people that had bought directly from the russian breeders themselves.so i think the main thing is doing your homework and thoroughly checking the breeder and if your experience was a good one then you should be able to share it without fear of getting bashed.....
Why doesn't she join here? I have posted my web-site and nobody cared or commented on it. http://www.solidimagelabs.com As long as she does not spam the board
, a casual mention of it in context, should not be considered foul. TP makes money off the puppy mills that advertize on their site, so I assume they discourage freeloaders.
OMG kitty ! your dogs are beautiful. especially the one on the front page ! i didnt even know you had a website. but i did know you had labs. although i might be getting a little forgetful with each passing year. i am thinking i am okay as i can still remember my kids names.lol
