dog food question

has anyone heard of a dog food sold at cosco called kirklands best? i had a "discussion" with my sister earlier today about it. she feeds it to her boxers.she gets the large bags. they are 40 or 50 lb bags and she pays 13 dollars a bag. i buy the chicken soup for the dog lovers soul at the fee store and pay 30 dollars for a 35 lb bag. she is telling me that i am getting ripped off paying that price as they are the same quality foods. i just want my dogs to have a good quality food. are they just as good as each other? and if so ,why the big diference in price? i love my dogs and i want whats best for them, but i cant see paying the extra money if the other food is just as good.

I would not feed it if you paid me...many people I know in the breed club and beyond swear by it....

Yes, exactly, Jaw. They all use it. Personally, I feel it it is garbage, and whereas dogs are perfectly capable of living and thriving on garbage, I demand quite a bit of my dogs. They are bred after age 2, and also are extremely active animals.
YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT.
The pups that I produce are nothing more than what their parents' bodies could combine, and then physically spare, to give them.
If I give a low grade food, somewhere down the line, I will pay for it.
I have very few health problems with dogs...This is due to careful breeding and very careful feeding, backed-up by more medical and dietary knowledge, and virtually unlimited access to more knowledge, than most doctors and dieticians have...I am not constrained by a particular field of scrutiny...I study and employ eastern, western, and all between theories of diet and health. Herbal, allopathic, holistic, you name it....
Simple, tasty, and healthy food is way easier to employ as a preventative than all the cures in the world. Both for dogs, and people...

Nature's Recipe puppy kibble, or Nutro Natural Choice puppy kibble.
If I could afford it, Nutro Ultra puppy kibble....I DO GIVE IT TO PUPS, HOWEVER....my last 2 litters were raised on it. See how pretty is Kitty.
