My son + Dirt Bikes = .......

This kids loves dirt bikes! The Red on is our old one and the Blue one is our new one.

For Ansy i'll get technical! LOL We sold the 92CR250 and we just got the 01YZ250 for 2,000! Now thats a deal! LOL We were going to get a 99CR250 but we decided against that cause my hubby wanted another YZ. So now he has his YZ and he's stuck with this one for at least another 8 months!

Stormy, the expression on your sons face is so cute! He is adorable.  I see a few neighbor hood kids riding them every now and then and it scares me to death. I don't know how you moms handle that (even if its your hubby, still...lol)

your son is a doll ! and it looks like you have another bike lover on your hands. i can ride the street bikes ,but the dirt bikes or as some say, crotch rockets, give me trouble.lol . my grandson has a three wheeler that he rides around their yard. its amazing how fast he learned how to ride it. he thinks he's a bigshot when he gets on it. i think he likes to show off a little when i'm over there he always makes sur that i am watching him ride. kids are funny. i enjoy my grandsons. lol

Brewsters Mom, actually i'm not really worried about my hubby or son! My brother in law is the one that falls alot. Yesterday he acutally took a really bad fall, took him a few to get off the track, he ended up with a pretty bad bruise on his hip and a nice knot on his head. He's lucky thats all it was, I was watching and I thought to myself Oh God This Isn't Going To Be A Good Landing! Sure enough there he went and the bike right on over him. My hubby and BIL have been riding since they were kids so they can take the beating. My son likes to ride with my hubby but he just rides him around nothing fast. We are going to be getting him a 4 wheeler in 2 weeks to get him used to the gear and all that. Then after that we are getting him a lil 50CC dirt bike, they make training wheels so we will get some of those also.

Storm, that bike looks awesome!  The body still looks new.   How did you find an 01 with no graphics on it?  Have all the parts recently been replaced or something?  You really did get that bike at a steal.......we paid $1600 for a 94 model a few years ago, so yeah.....you did good....lol

There is a certain amout of pain in having boys with expensive habits...lol.  My son started out when he was 6 on a little PW 80 (by Yamaha).  He outgrew it so quickly so we got him a KX65 when he started racing at age 8. He then went to a KX100 and now, at age 11 (almost 12) is ready to graduate to a 125.

On top of that, hubby bought the RM250 (the 94 model) but I made him sell it after he wrecked.  He is now wanting another one...lol and my 4 year old is getting into the habit as well.  We are going to start him off on one of the mini quad racers before getting him a bike though.

Yamaha makes some really good bikes.  The YZ's are great racing bikes (even the YZF's can do well).  We'll probably go back to the YZ's when we are ready to buy again (Christmas) at least for my son.  Hubby really liked his RM.  We've never had a Honda bike yet.

I wish so bad that we lived near a racing track.  The nearest one is about an hour and a half from here in Murray, KY.  We only go there to race.......practice has to be done at my dads house.  They have a track built there, but its not like the real ones....lol.

This Christmas we are going to have to muster up a new racing bike and a mini quad out of old Santa Clause.....lol.....sure hope thie kids have been good this year!

Tell your hubby that he has now made JT water at the mouth (from seeing that bike....lol) and I'm sure thats all I'll hear for the next several months.....lol.....THANKS!....lol

The guy we bought the bike from is used to riding 125's. If you look at the back fender you can see where he had flipped the bike. The plastic is OK but we are getting new. He couldn't handle a 250 so he sold it. You can tell he had some pretty hard hits with this bike, thats why there is no graphics kit. We actually like it that way, we are looking at kits right now. The bike it's self minus the plastic is in great shape. It's really only been trail riding not too much racing, but of course that will change since thats all hubby does is go to the track.

We have like 10 tracks woth in an hour of us, not including all the other places to ride. Florida is getting HUGE with motocross. The track that we went to Saturday is where Bubba used to race. He considers that his "home track"
