Proud New Mommy!

Well guys my female hamster had 5 lil babies! I have no clue when she had them i'm guess Monday or Tuesday sometime. I went to clean their cage and she bit me when I went to take her out of her home which is unusual, so I look in there and I see them! They are just too cute! There are 3 that will be either all black or gray 1 that will be most likely all white and another one that looks like a panda bear just like mommy!

Hubby and I talked and decided that we will keep all the same sex from now on. No more boys and girls. We haven't decided which sex to keep yet it all depends on what colors are male and female.

When I can i'll get some pics for everyone to see. I don't want to disturbe her, she gets pretty ticked off when I do! LOL

BTW anyone here know when I can take them away from their mom? I have them all homes already actually I have more homes than babies, I just have no clue as to when I can give them away.

I know with rats its around 6 weeks or 8 weeks it all depends on when they start trying to eat real food. When i was breeding my rats I would remove the babys around 6 weeks because they will keep trying to nurse if I didn't. Or usually a week after they start trying to eat solid food. It might not be the same for hamsters.

Yes I can hold my hamsters, i've had them since they were 6 weeks. I'm guessing by that, that I can give them away at that time since thats when I got mine! Duh I totally forgot when I got mine. LOL

Anyways Thanks for all the help everyone!
