Well as some of you know Im puppy sitting my sister's friends puppy Chica. This is her first dog so she doesnt know anything about food, treats, etc...Like an example would be for food they buy her puppy food, but they dont buy a certain brand just whatever they see for puppies. The food they gave me for her is awful, the first ingrediant is yellow corn and the 4 ingrediants after the corn are not good, no protien or anything.
I wanted to tell her about the differnt and better brands of food for Chica and i wanted to tell her that she should feed her the same brand all the time.
So there are other things too, and im wondering if i should say something and try and educate her a little because she doesnt know. But i dont want to come across as bossy or anything, just want to help her out. So should i say something?
Yes, you should.....but it's important to be tactful. You might want to buy a good, reasonably priced puppy food while this dog will be with you. Then make a big deal over how much the dog likes that particular food, etc.
Also, maybe print info on the care and feeding of dogs and the like from the internet and have it ready when it's time for the dog to go home.......
yes i would but maybe you could speak to your sister and then she can pass it on if she is closer to the puppys owner .. i tell my mum stuff about food and care and all the bits of info i find out along the way which could make things easier for her and the dogs .. my mum has quite a problem with me doing this but hell she gets over it in the end lol
