I can't believe this dog!!!!

Well, alot of you know what has happened with Kaia. Because of her knee problem, she has alot of weight. The vet said not to worry and that it was better for her to be skinny and keep the weight off of her legs. Well, I was getting worried because she seriousely hadn't eaten and was getting very skinny. I was going to call the vet again today if she didn't start eating. Well yesterday, I found that if I hand fed her she would eat like a horse. But when I fed her in her bowl, she would just stare at it. After trying to figure out what was different, it finally clicked. I feed Kaia in a stainless steel bowl, well, Kaia is food aggressive with other dogs and everytime she would go to eat, she would see her own reflection in the bowl!!! She ate like crazy yesterday after I put her food in a plastic bowl! Can you believe that she would starve herself rather then share.......with HERSELF! LOL

She is feeling much better after finally eating. She still carries one of her legs at most times. She does alternate her legs. My poor puppy.......I cannot believe she was Food Aggressive with herself.:

oh my gosh, ha! I've never heard of a dog being food aggressive with itself. That's hilarious, ha!

Katz, the same thing happened when we first got our rescue dobe, Eli. The very night we brought him home, we put his food in the metal bowl and he'd bend down to eat and just start growling and barking like crazy!! Scared the bejesus out of us, till we figured it out, lol. He got over his food aggressiveness finally after he realized he was going to get a meal 2 times everyday without fail.

LOL!!! I would have never thought about that. I would have ended up hand feeding the dog for the rest of it's life!!! I'm a true blonde! LMAO!!!

Yeah, Dusty, Zoe sent me that one. Too sad to watch.
People don't understand that they really are dogs. Kinda like when puppies first discover their tails...

I don't think that is real. It almost looks like someone has tied something like a fishing line to his leg. I see no reason why he would be moving his back leg like that. Unless he has some kind of condition where his back leg moves uncontrolably. Thats just my opinoin, but who am I to say.

thats real sweet tuna ..(although i dont hand feed) im like that with Harvey i always chat away to him during the day .. mainly to break the surrounding silence and the hum of the dishwasher..

Im sure Harvey enjoys our 'chats' its quite soothing for him to hear my voice as i think the silence can get to him aswell .. i would play music but the walls are thin and the neighbours works night shifts and sleep during the day
