Just checking in to say hello to all and give you a quick update as to where I have been. For the last several weeks. My buddy Sherm McMasters and I have been helping out the homeless in Phoenix and Tucson. We have been delivering water to the homeless and trying to get them into the shelters, which in the case of Phoenix have opened their doors in the daytime for the first time ever just this week. The heat has taken quite a few lives in Phoenix (18 this week) but we are doing everything we can to help those that need it the most. I have been staying at the local Motel 6 but am on the streets everyday delivering water bottles and ice. I guess you can call me the waterboy. Gotta go.
wow TnT . what you are doing is wonderful. it is good to know that there are people like you that are willing to help others. i am saddened to hear of the lives that were lost, but your efforts will surly save others. i commend you and your friend for what you are doing . be safe and i pray that no other lives will be lost. great job !!
I saw an article about the homeless in Phoenix & how the heat has taken 16 of them as well as 2 elderly residents.
It is wonderful how you are helping out as much as you can & I will pray that the heat will diminish so as not to be so treacherous to all those who have to live & work in it!
Yeah, it's hotter than a $2.00 pistol. That's really super that you're helping these poor people. I can't imagine how people and animals cope with this insufferable heat when they don't have any shelter.
And for everyone fortunate enough to have a cool place to come home to, say a prayer of thanks!
T, I missed you so much that I actually had to go over to my parents' house and hijack their copy of Tombstone so that I could watch it and think of you. Well, good for you for helping the needy in this time of extreme heat down there!! You're an awesome person, no matter what anyone else thinks!! Don't be such a stranger now and tell your buddy TheWatcher to get his happy ass over here and start posting again!!
Hey T.....it's great what you are doing. It has gotta rain here soon! I am starting work at 5am and getting done by 10am. I bring an ice chest full of gatorade and water......lol Come on rain, where are you?............lol
hats off to u tnt!!! in the winter time here in san diego, when the sportfishing season comes to a close, i take a vacation, then work the next 4 and a half months as a supervisor at a temporary winter shelter for the ALPHA PROJECT. we have 210 beds, ( 150 men, 50 women, 10 for police drop offs ) and we are full all winter. as im sure u know, working with the homeless is rewarding and it takes a special type of person to be able to do it. you are a good man!!
