I couple of years ago I found this great art website. Its called elfwood.com Here are some samples of some of the art that is there. Just to warn you not all the art is this good.
The one of the dog is after a real dog. The lady who drew it had just gotten the dog and the dog was asleep next to her and she drew the dog. I think thats a really good painting of a real dog.

amazing grahics ..the dog asleep is like something out of a dream ..and the last one of the horse with wings is beautifull
