Ya'll gimme some feedback on how we should handle this prize pack that is to be sent to the winner of the photo contest each month?  Puttin did a great job last month, but I don't know if she wants to do it every month....lol.  Also, whoever does it, will have to be willing to give out a mailing address in case someone wants to send a little something to add to the prize pack (either money or something they choose to buy).

The winner can choose if they wish to give out their addy and recieve a prize pack or if they want to pass, that will be fine too.  I think we all recognize the dangers of the internet and giving out personal information, so I want this to be strictly voluntary.

I for one, will not give out my real name, but I can open a PO Box in the name of The Furum and have mail sent there - or - if someone else wants to use a PO Box then we can do that too.  If you already have a PO Box, your post office should let you add that name  - The Furum - so that you can receive mail addressed to it. 

Everyones privacy is my main concern, however, this is a really fun thing to do and it brings us closer together as an online community.   Whoever does this can offer PayPal and snail mail as options for sending money/items.

I will make a few rules that need to be followed and post it as soon as I get them together.  The first being that whoever donates will not be named.  This is because we may have some members who simply can't donate and I don't want anyone feeling left out, so everyone who donates will remain anonymous.

After Stormy posts the deadlines for each upcoming contest, the person in charge of handling the prize pack will need to set a deadline for money/items to be recieved so that they can forward the prizes to the winner.

Again, I will donate a $100 prize for the yearly winner (chosen out of all the monthly winners).  If someone other than myself is handling the prizes being mailed, then I will forward the $100 prize to that person and they will in turn see that it gets to the winner.  This is to help it so that our personal info isn't available to everyone and anyone.

The person in charge of this needs to be someone that most all of us feel comfortable with.

If you would like to volunteer to handle this, or if there is a certain person that you would like to see do it then wither post it here or PM me with their username and we'll see what comes of it.

Remember, this is strictly voluntary and no one will be required to donate/participate.   This is all in the pre-stages and I'm asking for your thoughts and suggestions on the best way to handle this.  I'm sure if we all put our heads together we can come up with something and enjoy the thrill of the contests even that much more.  We all like to get things in the mail...lol.....so lets get those prize packs started!

Thank you so much to Puttin510 who did the first one!  If Stormy hadn't have posted about it, I would have never thought twice about it...lol.  I am old and absent minded most of the time......really, I am!

Lets try to figure this out as quickly as possible so we can make sure the new photo contest winner gets something as well.  If Puttin wants to continue doing this, that is great......(I'm not putting you on the spot Puttin...), but if not, then we can designate on person to handle this and get our donations in.

I just want to add that I think it is absolutely wonderful that things like this are being done after all we have went through.  I do this every month on a Disney forum I am a member of and we all have SO much fun doing this!

If ya'll need anything from me, just let me know and I'll help out in whatever way I can.  I will even be glad to take care of sending the prizes, but want to give others the chance to volunteer to do it as my time gets limited sometimes.
