I was looking for Malamute breeders and came across this one. If you want to call them that. They breed malamute AND malamute MIXES. I may be way off on this but there is NO WAY I would ever buy a pup from these people.....
Actually, other than breeding their 1/2 malamute, they look pretty decent. They drove 7 hours just to pick up one of their former pups and rehomed her 2 times and now they're looking for a home for her again. At least they make for damn sure they get the pups back if something goes wrong. I looked again and they have waaaay too many dogs in their breeding program, it looks like. I guess they're doing well in that they make sure they get their pups back if something goes wrong and it seems as though they do testing, but I think mixing is wrong, although it seems like they're doing something right by testing them. I don't know. Definitely too many breeding dogs though.
I agree that they seem to be there when a pup needs to be rehomed but.....
They have alot of litters: 5/24, 5/27, 6/2, 6/3, 6/7 & 6/12. How can anyone give the pups of that many litters the individual attention & socialization that they need? Granted they seem to be breeding pretty much for sledding but I don't agree with purposely breeding mixes. Why take a purebred and create a mix?
They look pretty and really healthy but for some reason theres something that looks wrong about them to me but I can't put my fingure on it. I don't know why.
i would be leary of buying anything from them. for one, they have two mixed litters. mixed with what? they just say one litter is 1/2 mal and the other litter is 3/4 mal. what is the other pecentage? and i cant see a responsible breeder mixing the breed. unless they were accidents that they are trying to turn a profit from. in any case they have alot of dogs .which imo cant possibly be getting the human attention they need. and any breeder who truly values their breed will breed for the betterment of the breed and would not mix breeds. period .
They do seem to have a lot of dogs, for such a small yard. (look how close the house are in the pics). And if you are breeding for the betterment of the breed why mix? And why charge more for the gaints, when the AKC says desiered weight is 75-85.
They do offer some type of guarentee, and have the dogs OFA cert. But I dont think I would buy from them.
i think those ppl are just trying to make a quick buck, and dont really know how to properly breed and care for those pooches. the place just looks dirty to me.
