I was at the dog park with the girls and hyde the other day. Lana has always been a panter, especially at the dog park cause all she does is run the fence and chase the dogs on the other side. At times Lana can pant sooooo hard. Anyways after a session of fence running, Lana layed down to rest by this women. The women asked me if Lana was ok because her tounge was hanging out to the side. I told the lady she is fine and this is normal, and she said that when a dog pants and the tounge hangs straight out of its mouth then its ok, but if the tounge is hanging to one side that it means something is wrong with the dog. I heard this and thought this lady doesnt know anything, cause Lanas tounge always hangs out, wether straight out or to the side, thats how Lana's tounge always is. So has anyone else ever heard anything like this before? Does this women not know what she is talking about?
I have never heard of that either. My personal take on it was always, if a dog's tongue was just sticking out, he was hot. If it was sticking out the side, he was tired because even his tongue was being lazy, lol.

did that lady even own a dog??? sounds like she is off of her rocker cause i cant think of a dog that i HAVENT seen have there smoocher hang out the side at one time or another.
The ladys crazy. A dog can't really control there tounges that well as in the postion of it. If someine like this lady says that something is wrong with the dog just because its tounge is hanging out of the side there mouth then they don't know what they are talking about. SAying that is like saying that a dog can hold its own tounge up off of its mouth. LOL I hope this makes since.
