UGH...thank goodness

My power has been out for HOURS!!!!!!!!   Damn storms.  Made a mess of my yard and pool. I was having computer withdrawal. Just as the sun was all gone and it was almost dark out...POOF....we had light! I couldn't have made it in the dark!!! lol  I already took a nap from boredom during the outage. I would have been up all night sitting in the dark!

i am a big chicken during storms .quinn teases me about it. we had a storm pass through here a few weeks back. it rains alot here in washington state, but never like it did that morning.and the sky was so dark. the thunder sounded like it was right over the house. i sat in the family room and huddled next to quinn with my dogs right next to me.it only lasted about an hour, but i was so scared lightening was going to come through the window and strike me that i had all the blinds in the house closed. lol

My fear is this big ole tree out back falling over. It needs to come down. Messy stupid tree.

My patio is a disaster area because of that tree.

I hate that tree.

I'd like to burn that tree!

(I don't care much for the tree, can you tell)

Storms bother me, but I don't worry about them. I was hit by lightening once and was lucky I didn't get hurt. Well, it ripped an umbrella out of my hand, how I didn't get hurt I will never know.  Then my loving caring mother was yelling at me to go back and pick it up. LIKE HELL I WAS!!!  lol

LOL once my house lost power and me, my mother, and both of our room mates were in the living room with candles planning board games. LOL And this was around 8pm when the power went out. The power didn't come back on till about 1am.

i dont mind power outages. actually they are kind of neat. a total peace and quiet in the house.i just light the candles and we sit and actually talk ,without interuptions. i think its when we spend the most quality time together. its the lightening and thunder that scares the begeezes out of me. the first time i was in an electrical storm in germany,i thought it was the end of the world and hid in the wardrobe closet.they have the worst ones i have ever been in in my life !!

i hate power outages..  i have a funny story about losing power on a boat once.  on the way out at night, the passengers were all asleep, and the generator shut down, and we lost all of our bait, and couldnt even cook.   i was so mad cause that meant i had to turn around and go back to the dock and refund or raincheck everyone.   nobody woke up til i shut the engines down back at the dock, and the looks on their faces was priceless as they came out of the bunkroom and saw the landing.   i couldnt help being funny and i said, wow, that was the best fishing i have ever seen!!! u guys shoulda woke up man, it was incredible!!!  thanks for coming folks!!!   nobody laughed.

lol my computer nearly died on me with all those graphics. As for storms etc i think at night they are spectacular and when the thunder makes the glass rattle in the windows~but scary if im alone im such a wimp but im soo scared of the dark.

I never go out in a lightening storm here as its really open and im the highest thing around so it would probably choose to hit me. so i run home as fast as i can. My mums neighbours once had their windows blown out and the t.v blow up when lightening hit their home.

There always quite bad here as they follow the river several meters from my home and we live in a shallow valley and the storm seems to sit over our house for ages

i dont know of anyone that has actually been struck by lightening. i know i wouldnt want to be the first one though. i dont know about how bad you get them them there twink, but in germany they are worse than any place i have ever been. i hid in the wardrobe closet during bad storms there and it still sounded like bombs going off !  Thunder
