RE: car survey

That's cool Mollie! My hubby really likes the GTO, especially the 69 Judge with a Hemi.

Lil Exorcist, we have a KIA too and I have heard a lot of things as well. We mainly got it for a driving around town sort of car, but we have never had any problems with it whatsoever. But my husband also works in automotive, so we take really good care of it and get free brakes, lol. I don't think I will buy another when this one does kick it though. I would be scared to get in a crash with one, I hear they aren't that safe.

i think any car can be dangerous if hit in the wrong place. i drive my paseo the most right now because of gas prices. there are not alot of them on the road. about a year ago a teenage boy was killed driving his paseo out on the roy highway. the car was totaled. we came along just as the car was getting ready to be towed. when i saw the car was exactly like mine, i got goosebumps.it was almost unrecognizable. kayla is in the process of getting her liscense and wants it. i am kind of scared now with her being a new driver. so i will probably get her a small suv or give her the lexus.

I would have love to have gotten a Lexus as my first car. What year model is it? I liked the 2 door ones. I think I am thinking of a older model, like 98. Not sure.

Dusty, if you want a safe car for your daughter, get an oldie. Like 60's to 70's. They eat a lot of gas, but so do SUVs. But the nice thing is that they are metal instead of fiberglass. So if they are in an accident, the car won't just shatter. My dad made me and my brother have old cars as our first. My first was a 67 Cougar

you have a good point. its just the last two years in a row teenage girls from kaylas school have been killed in car accidents. i cried for weeks over the last one. she had the long straight blonde hair and looked so much like kayla. she was a beautiful 17 year old, on her way to school. and pulled out onto the mountain highway. the logging truck couldnt stop. her car was crushed to the size of a box. the logging truck driver was devastated. he had a daughter her age. he will never get over that and it wasnt his fault.i couldnt take having the people come to my door with that kind of news. my heart ached so bad for the parents and what they had to have gone through. she had only had her liscense for a month. i think as parents we all worry or will go through the worrying when their kids get to the driving age. especially now with all the idiots behind the wheels.

First car I ever drove was a 76 caprice classic. The first vehicle I ever owned was a 82 GMC Sierra 1500 shortbox. His name was Douglas and he's been in the garage since I graduated- started a project 3 years ago and have never finished it I really miss my Douglas, but Brad's brother said he might buy it, since it's all rust-free and ready to paint and all. Plus I have all the parts for it, he'd sure be an awesome truck if someone had the time to fix him up!!

I'm sorry Dusty, that's so sad! I'm not a big driver. I don't like to drive that much because everyone in my state drives crazy and it scares me.

I think you're right, Tuna, but Minnesota has the stupidest drivers!!! They brake at every single intersection and they don't go the speed limit or even 5 over and they swerve in their lanes a lot. I always want to pass Minnesotians on the road 'cuz they suck so bad at driving and I live 10 miles away from the Minnesota/Iowa border so there's lots of em coming thru my town!!!

I have a 2001 ford explorer, 03 chevy blazer Xtreme (my bf's), a 91 Ford Explorer Sport, and an 87 Mazda RX-7 turbo. The 91 explorer doesnt run and will probably be scrap metal in a few weeks when the plates expire and the RX-7 is my boyfriends project car that runs but isnt street legal.

Beeper-  Been there with the not street legal car.....lol  But they are fun.

Arizona drivers don't know what a turn signal is, make a 4 lane change in 1 second and it is required to drive 20 miles over the speed limit or your gonna' get ran over.........lol  But amazingly, they are pretty curtious here for the most part.

Well, all the Californians are moving to my state, so maybe that explains the driving, lol.

The big thing here is if someone wants to intimidate you, they will ride clear up on your bum and start flashing their brights at you like crazy to get you to move. It's very scary and dangerous. They'll even do it when you have a car next to you in the next lane and have no where to go. I've even had someone do it to me in the slow lane!

well on the subject if Cars i dont know what my mum and dad will be driving now.The car is a wreck as from last night.

MY dad was in the car with my little sis going round a tight bend just entering my village. My dad was doing the speed limit which is 30mph and 2 superbikes come round the bend and couldnt make the corner going approx 70mph. One hit the side and the man flew over the car and the seconds bike slid and the guy went under the car and come out the other side into the hedge. The car was hgit with such force it pushed it about 3 metres of course into the verge whats pretty amazing is that no-one was injured just whiplash. Im pretty furious right now as my little sister was in a cubicle at the hospital and one of the bikers was in the next one. I could here his mum saying its 'all-right it wasnt your fault darlin' . Little did she know her precious son was coming round a bend after racing through a village with his mate and nearly caused a fatal accident to a 12 yr old girl and her dad. I hear the crash from my house and i have never ran so fast in all my life.

The police were really angry and told my dad to prosecute. They could tell instantly in wasnt my dads fault as the bikers openly admitted they were speeding.

Thanks for letting me vent
