Male cat (neutered) trying to mate???

Our male cat, Fatty, is neutered but I noticed last night that he is trying to breed a spayed female.  What is up with that?  He went through 'all' the motions...biting her neck and all.  She was meowing very loudly before he did it.....maybe like a mating call......could she 'think' she is in heat?  Which in turn, gives him the green light......lol

Manson is un-neutered and most definitely did his thing with a spayed female.. I guess maybe it's like with people?? My hubby has had a vascectomy, but still does everything like a person without a vascectomy... I am assuming your kitty still has all his male feelings and abilities but simply not the ability to produce offspring.
