 i was looking on the Michael Palin Travel forum im with and i saw this link..


Its called Google-Earth and its amazing i can zoom right in on Buckingham palace london. It was quick to download and really cool plus Its FREE! you can zoom in on your street aswell. It does the whole world over so where ever you live or theres a point of interest to you , you can take a look

holy mackeral!!!  it really works.  kinda cool, but kinda scary at the same time.  i zoomed in on my building, and i live exactly two blocks to the left of the red dot that says san diego.  WOW!!

i know its weird but pretty amazing.. it said it was done by satellite over 3 years!


see if you can find the Eiffel Tower Paris France i could see the shadow and couldnt see the structure but then it jumped out of the page at me . An i zoomed in on my house

I found the eifel tower fine, i just had to pan down to see it from the side.  i looked at every member of my family's house and my work, and everything!!   i could gaze at that thing all day.  how cool is that!!!!!!!   its absolutely amazing technology these days

ha! see if you can find the pyramids in egypt ..it took me awhile but i got there in the end


. MY sister is just downloaded the free version (not pro or plus) and it asked her to give registration details...did you get that message..i didnt with the free one but for some reason she did?

I started to download, then kept reading, you need hi-speed internet to run it, I think. Am I wrong? It sounds neato, but I'm on dial up at about 48kbps

i would try it. If it doesn't work you can always unistall it- im on broadband which i thik is alot faster ..but give it a whirl and se it if works

It says this:Network speed: 128 kbps ("Broadband/Cable Internet") I'm pooping along at 46.6kbps, right now. I think I'll talk to my computer friend first. Don't want to blow a fuse on this puppy, messing around...

About two months back, my son and I sat here playing with that thing, looking at all kinds of places. It is fun, but I think it is scary. Potential of helping the wackies out if they are looking for someone. I kinda get creeped out knowing someone can find me that easily in this day and age.

I looked at something like that not long ago. Kind of scarey.


I used to have dialup and I only got like 60 kilobits persecond. Now with the DSL I am getting over 1 meg. Superfast...but it is costing me a bit more.

commercials....I agree there. Sometimes I think the people writing them thinks everyone in America is a total moron. My intelligence feels insulted after watching some of them!!!! I will say "I now feel dumber for having watched that!!!!" lol
