Some are cute, but they are too loud.
I work in a bar with live bands, 5 nights a week. I find that I adore silence...

it doesn't zoom in on anything, it's all fuzzy...how do you make it work? i have the resolution set up right and everything. HELP

some of the places were not mapped by the satellite so you cant view anything close up. Sometimes it takes a minute for the places which you zoomed in on to become clearer

It took me ages to find the statue of liberty. I even found the hotel i lived in when i worked in Hong Kong that was pretty cool. New york is the best place to look at the detail is amazing and the building seems to stand out of the screen

yeah i noticed that hong kong comes in really clear.  so does san pedro, and san diego.  darn it twink!!!  u have me hooked on that thing now!!!  lol

well computer illiterit dusty here, cant figure out how to open the darn thing after i downloaded it when i click to open it it just runs the set-up wizard over again everytime. i have dsl too ! lol

dusty you should have two icons on your desktop ..click the one that looks like a beach ball and it should start

oops sorry ..but im hooked also ..its amzing the detail you can se once the screen has ajusted to the close ups.. its pretty fascinating. I cant find the great wall of china~ and you are apparently able to see it from space.. Well im lookind at the satellite pics from space and ironically i cant find it

*sigh* i just wrote loads and the comp died on me i come back and write the rest in a minute lol


puttin: do you have a button inbetween the left and right clickers?. If yes that can help you zoom in. If not hold the right button down and an arrow should come up~ if you move the mouse gently up and down that works also

To all: there is also a forum that Google earth users go on..


if you get up your 'google earth' and click add and then scroll down the list to 'Google earth BBs' thats the site. It will pop up on your screen.


Once you are in and looking at the threads there are points of interest that people have found which you can save to your globe. Next to the thread starters username there will be lettering in blue click on it and a pop up will ask you to run,save, or cancel. Hit run and your earth will pop back up and it will take you straight there. If its something which you would like to keep on your globe as a point of interest then click on the name (as its stored in you temporary folder at the moment) and there should be an option on to save it to 'My places' this mean that it will be there when you decide to come and view it later.


theres  loads of weird places that people have found ..like a whale in the ocean and the playboy mansion (nope i have looked and theres no naked women in the garden lol)
