webcam is on and a webcam question

 I haven't turned on my webcam in forever. It's on now, watching my son watching the TV. My yahoo ID is shinyblackpit (go figure) so if you feel like peeking at it you can click on the link by my name on yahoo. Not that we're doing anything really exciting...


Here is my webcam question... How do you set one up so that people can view it without using yahoo? It would be neat to be able to just provide a link so that people can click and view your cam without having to be a member of yahoo. I know it can be done cause all the porn people do it. I just don't know how.

I am such a computer dummy.. I assume what I have is a streaming webcam?  And then I hope they wouldn't expect for something exciting to be going on all the time cause sometimes my living room is empty or we're just all sitting around watching TV... but it would be fun for friends and family to be able to peek in.

Well, I officially give up. I was able to broadcast from the site I had posted in the last post, but to view it, people have to create a username and see inappropriate ads. I pirated some webcam software that's supposed to be really good and then I was scared because my firewall said things like "high risk, this program is attempting to change your internet settings."


So I am back to yahoo... Frankly, there's nothing too interesting going on in my living room anyhow, but I thought it would be fun to play with the webcam. My yahoo screen name is the same as here, shinyblackpit.
